This month, I'm turning a year older. October is my birth month so it's very timely that I write about Rae Morris' Timeless Makeup. (can anyone guess how old I am?) It's a step-by-step guide to looking younger and aging with grace. It's a go-to resource book on things about fine lines and evolving skin. Surely, our skincare and makeup techniques when we were in our early twenties won't really be as effective ten years after (no I'm not thirty!); so if you're the type who feels a bit lost at what you're doing--Timeless Makeup* is the book that can help you adapt to the changes in you body and skin.

It has very useful tips from the basics of skincare to the technicalities of choosing the right foundation shade and formulation for your skin type. It has itsy bitsy trade secrets on making fine lines less noticeable (or the ways your makeup choices can sometimes make fine less more visible--and how to avoid those common mistakes); while it also discusses a rich and healthy wellness outlook that is in keeping with feeling good about the self and about the changing world around you.

Professionals and non-professionals of the makeup world has mountains of new lessons waiting for them between Timeless Makeup's pages. If you dare to accept the inevitable evolution of your beauty, you should pick up as early as now and understand the ways you can make aging more beautiful for you.

Speaking of beauty... I would like to launch a birthday giveaway alongside this beauty book review. Because October is my birthmonth and I love lipsticks, I'm giving away two lovely lipsticks from one of the most timeless beauty brands out there, Guerlain. 12. I guess my timeless beauty secret is to wear moisturiser and SPF to ward away dry skin that can cause wrinkles. I guess the best timeless beauty secret, though, is to smile! It instantly makes you young.

I'm guessing you're like me, in your mid-20s (I'm 24, so around that age).

  13. My timeless beauty secret is moisturize moisturize moisturize! From the eye to the lip to the body! Especially the eye, you are never to young to put eye cream (if you don't have fine lines yet don't go for anti-wrinkle because it might backfire). Also drink lots of h2o! :)
