TURNBACKTUESDAY#22 Life happens + giveaway

TurnbackTuesday is a section of LovingSunshine.com dedicated to personal thoughts and other stories of inspiration, love and life that I share with you every week. TurnbackTuesday is scheduled on Tuesdays, 11:30AM PH time.

Today, I would like to share some inspiring thoughts from the more lit up corners of my mind. I would hate to confirm that some of you, my beloved readers, are going through some tough times as we speak, but I know that it's possible that you are. Hence today's post is all about remembering the good times, and looking forward to a future that holds abundance and then some.

Do you believe that you've got the Universe's endless joys at the tip of your fingertips? (Featured below is my interpretation of joyous days ahead. I'm wearing Etude House Lucid Darling as base color, and an array of glitters from Sinful Colors and ChinaGlaze.) If you want to hear more of my proposed optimism, please go ahead and jump!
Almost everything is clearer when viewed in retrospect. Consider it the curse of what's gone, or consider it as the blessing of the learned; however you want to see it, looking back and remembering the days that were good and bad helps develop a stronger sense of appreciation of the now, whether good or bad.

I remember when I was younger (I'm the girl in the dress, obviously), I clung onto my relationship with my older sister (right) like it's the only friendship that mattered in the world. My world was of course smaller then, and I didn't mind. In my dresses, florals and laces, I curtsied my way to my "growing up years" and developed my sense of self. My sister and I are very different people, yet made of same blood and bones. The similarities we share run deep as the ocean, with caverns of treasured memories so to speak; likewise, the difference that sets us apart from the other, are opportunities for change and development, bridges toward an imagination full of opportunities, that make and break both of us.

Of course I'm saying that as a matter of factly because I have learned the spirit of acceptance.

Let me ask you, have you accepted yourself, your life and the lives around you with peace? It's difficult, sometimes our own selfishness would want more or heed for changes, but at the very least, have you tried accepting the things that be, whether or not they are what you hoped for or not? It's liberating.

Today, I would like to share with you a lesson I learned (possible, still am learning, the hard way, unfortunately). Life happens.

Life happens. As simple as that. Whether you decide to wake up in the morning or not, life happens. Whether you sing in the shower or you mope, life happens. Life happens and the best you can do to make the load lighter and to make the ride more fun for you is to make the most of everything that happens within and around you. Life happens as we speak, as I write, as you read, even as you decide to skip or continue listening to what I have to say. You are your own key to success. Whatever you do, life will happen--so trust in it. Trust that life will bring you good. That if things aren't going as well as you had hoped it would go, life is happening and the good is yet to come (better to even consider that life is happening and there is good even in the bad).

Life happens, and as I recently realized, as long as you equip yourself with the right mindset, quality thoughts and a strong spirit, you may carry on--partially why I have committed myself to finding a very good bag, a bigger alternative, to my prized Michael Kors bag--a gift, from my mom, for herself, then for me.

Don't forget, "Life happens." The best we can do, is live (in) it.

Have a blessed week! Trust in the Universe. For more inspiration, please follow me on Twitter/Instagram: @kumikomae.
