The Ocean in your eyes

I feel so inspired by Shiseido's Spring 2013 eye shadows--taking inspiration from nature herself, the beach no less. I love the beach. I love the ocean and the fears it brews in my mind. I'm not a good swimmer and I always cramp my leg, but the ocean is a metaphor that stirs my inner soul. So to have another passion, beauty, blend with the subtexts of a beautiful shore, it's just magic for me. Shiseido truly knows how to recognize and emulate beauty through makeup.

Taking inspiration from the new collection, I wrote this little bit of poetry. I hope you all enjoy it!

Dear brooding critter, with thoughts that lap the roughest seas,
how you crawl deep in the water and float with every breeze,
one minute a-changing subject, never knowing what lies for we,
are insects to every flower, and each nectar's a chance to be.

Dear little mistress, of an evening becoming stars,
how you glaze your promises over eyes, over water, over hearts,
my dreams come-hither at your call, trust can only go as far,
and beyond my voice echoes, filling up your silver jar.

Run away, foaming goddess
of the northern and truest south.
The waves shall eat every sandy
mention of you through
my wishful eye.

Cheers to all those colors that put meaning to the littlest drop of water, up until the most vast body of hope.

Let us spread the love this summer!
Please help me achieve my Summer 2013 reach out project where I am to feed upto 100 kids with my favorite meals from my favorite restaurant (Max's Restaurant). That's worth approx $200 of food shared with kids so they too can enjoy and love the sun!
