So you want beautiful eyes...

Hello Sunshine! Would you agree with me that beauty is in the eye of the beholder? But wouldn’t it be sweet to also think that beauty is also seen in our eyes—and not just through it? Did you know that in your face, the most sensitive of skin is found around your eyes and your lips? Yes. That is why with a little bit of change in temperature, our lips can chap and crack. Just the same, this is also why our eyes can develop dark circles with just a change of sleeping habits and even, dehydration.

For today, I want to focus on the eyes—because like many of you, I love beautiful eyes. Honesty, sincerity and tenderness are among the few things that we can see through beautiful eyes. The eyes, are in fact, the lenses of our soul. It is through which we experience most of the world—and also, through which we first let the world experience the most of us. But how do you really achieve beautiful eyes? And how do you keep them? Read more for my three ways.
1. Have a healthy balanced diet. To maintain proper eyesight, you have to eat from the vitamins and minerals food group generously. Keep an appetite for foods that are orange! These are the yummy goodies that are rich in beta-carotene, the eye vitamin. My favourite? Carrots! They are yummy when cooked and even when they are raw! They can be added on anything, and can also be enjoyed on the side of a delicious steak!

2. Sleep healthy. A good amount of sleep allows your body to recharge and refresh well enough for another grind—and this is helpful not just to keep dark circles at bay, but on a general note in maintaining good health. But personally, sleeping healthy is beneficial for the eyes because it helps you recover from the strain it usually is subjected to. Consider this, if you have an office job, most likely, you’re in front of your computer’s glare for at least eight hours a day—and that is not counting the additional eye strain you get from leisurely activities like reading and even, texting or playing games on your tablet! So give your eyes the break it deserves. It will do you wonders if you treat it well.

3. Use an eye cream. For all the strain and all the energy that you can’t recover from—and for all the vitamins you can’t really catch up on, complement with the proper skincare regimen. Ike every superhero with its backup, an eye cream allows the eyes to get its extra boost of tender loving care.

The skin around the eyes reveals your age—but there’s a way of reversing time or slowing time from showing! And the answer is an eye cream.

With a great eye cream, you can de-puff, moisturize and prevent aging lines from showing with just one gentle glide. Surely, there’s more gain in it than just vanity’s sake.
