TURNBACK TUESDAY#3 Please help me report this fake account...

Before anything else, I would like to share with you my second featured story of DailyBuzz HealthyLiving! Thank you very much Federated Media and HealthyLiving editors for choosing my story on Natio Skincare as among your Pucker Up Daily Top 9 story! :) Please do visit my story... and enjoy the rest of the Top 9 stories too! :D

So back to regular programming, this TurnbackTuesday is about my blogging history. I think my first ever blog was a xanga account. Are you familiar with Xanga accounts? My blog then was an against black background and had Maroon 5's She Will Be Loved playing when you open my page. Maroon 5, at that time, wasn't even popular in the Philippines (or anywhere in the world) yet so I guess that pretty much describes how ancient that blog was! Sorry, I really don't remember my url anymore.

Then I had Livejournal.
Then I had Friendster Blog.
Then I had Multiply.
Then I tried Wordpress.
Then I found home in Blogspot.

Anyway, I shared that blogging history because never in my entire online existence did I expect to have a fake account. Well, this is the second time I ever encountered someone using my pictures for a page (the first one was during my Friendster days... it was one of those "Friendster group accounts" and OMG I was among the "goddesses" the admin selected for the ranks--and haha omg among the other goddesses was Sam Pinto--now a popular local actress/model. HAHA

Anyway, my officemate was searching for a friend on Facebook when she saw my face among her friend's Friend's list (confusing?) It's this account. facebook.com/jillian.garcia.984

Since I'm no celebrity, I really am unsure how to feel about having someone use my face as a profile photo. Come to think of it, I've had days when Britney Spears was my profile photo, or Emma Watson was my profile photo, but I think it's different to use someone else's photo as your profile image out of admiration and different to use someone's identity for fraudulent purposes. Below is the original photo. It was taken from this lovely nail post.

I'm not VERY affected by this, although I am disappointed by how the person removed the watermark of my photo! It's just so rude. If she's a fan (still not used to the idea of having a fan); but if she's a fan, she should have respected my watermark enough to honor it. I think, the fact that she (wait, I'm not even sure if this person's a she) removed my watermark prior to using my picture gives me sound reason to think her use of my photo was out of malice.

Anyway, as of writing the account is still active... and until Facebook or the account user removes my face on her account, could you please help me report the page as fraud? I've been joking with myself, if someday I become famous, I would have to learn to ignore these type of accounts/actions--but since I can still enjoy the luxury of having time to bother--I'm going to savor it. Who knows what type of behavior that person is displaying at the cost of my image/face? Paranoid much but I think it's part of our obligations to protect our identity as much as we can--while we can.

Thank you to those who will help me report the page! This is my official Facebook Page FACEBOOK.COM/MS.KUMI
