SWAP: Royal Kindness

So this is a case of lost and then found. See, for months we believed that Jenni's first package for me got lost. She said, according to her post office, the package is in Chicago? Or definitely not outside US--and it was weird why the package would be rerouted to a different location--but fortunate that it found its way to me! Why? Well, because everything inside it was love--that's why I put up those yellow hearts where I put up one word to describe the set of products photographed within the frame.

Jenni has always been one of those bloggers with the most insightful comments and frankly, Jenni's comments makes a day filled with spammers worth it. One comment from her is equivalent to hundreds of spam. Jenni's such a quality reader and if you read on her blog at IRelishNailPolish.blogspot.com, you will also witness her quality nail posts! So without further delay, read on after the jump to see what Jenni got for me!
She got me a bunch of Burt's Bees products as according to her, it was the most local thing she could think of. Not a problem though because like Jenni, I'm a natural product lover. Burt's Bees has amazing natural skin and lip care products to which my dear friend didn't skimp on. As of writing, I haven't tried the lippies she got for me--and wouldn't dare open them all at the same time as their expiration falls 12 months upon opening--but judging my determination to care for my puckers lately, I know it's only soon 'til I ride along these lovely honey-enriched lip balms.

Included in her swap package is a tiny tub of Burt's Bees Radiance Day Cream which I wasn't familiar with at all. Since I consume skincare very fast, I didn't delay trying out this product. I used it the day after I received the package and I fell off my seat. This is amazing! I can't believe I didn't know of this product before. It's super moisturizing, leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth--doesn't interfere with makeup and it also smells very sweet! Sweet like honey, indeed! It has Royal Jelly which I'm familiar to be great for my skin--and I really have to say, using this Radiance Day Cream has really saved me from bad skin days.. for the past few days! I really have to find a way to get a hold of a full-sized Radiance Day Cream.

She was also very excited to share with me this lovely and unique purple colored mascara! She mentioned how "colored" mascaras were big during the days--and I'm more than happy to embark on the trend! I haven't tried this mascara yet but I am going to wear them the next few days and see how far this product can go! :) I love violet eyeshadows anyways, so I'm sure this would be perfect!

As usual, Burt's Bees products smell AMAZING. Nature really has it all for us, I'm so thankful that more and more brands are moving towards a greener industry.

Surely, the best thing amongst the swap items she got was this pouch. Jenni was right about this cosmetic kit being perfect for me--with it being yellow and loaded with flowers. I'm currently using it as a pouch for my iPhone 4S (since I always bring my charger and earphones with me). So far, it also holds some emergency money and my spin pins. It's a very lovely canvas cosmetic pouch and I'm really thankful she got me this! I haven't seen a Burt's Bees pouch before...

She also got me some travel-sized body products. I guess Jenni knows I love skincare a lot so she's definitely on the right track with body lotions. I really take moisturizing the body seriously. Especially at night when I wear the heaviest of creams just because I like to really wake up feeling supple and smooth.

Other skincare products she got for me were from Yves Rocher. As you can see, the products are also made with amazingly delicious ingredients. Apricots and grapes are definitely among my yummiest fruit choices and I am beyond excited in trying out these items. I was times ten excited to try the grape mask because 1. I read that grapes are potent sources of antioxidants and are great to fend of premature skin aging; and 2. because I lovelovelove face masks. True enough, when I tried the Grape mask, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It felt very creamy but was light as air. It didn't harden up against the skin, rather, it felt as if it persisted emulsifying thus hydrating my otherwise stressed out face. I of course used the Apricot scrub before the mask and the sweet fruity fragrance of the scrub made the grape's entrance suave and more appealing.

All in all, I really love everything Jenni sent my way. I will be posting separate reviews on the items I end up falling in love with. In time, I'm sure I will be able to put up individual posts on these items. Eitherway, I have to say, this swap package was well worth the wait.

Have you done a beauty swap before? How was it?

PS. Talking about all-natural and local goodies sparks my excitement over this upcoming weekend food fair! I am so glad it was not stolen it restores my faith in humanity. I wonder where it was sitting all this time? The post office had no answers for me, boy I was mad at them. I am so glad you are enjoying the products!

    1. yes! i also had that #restoredfaithinhumanity feeling. i have no idea where it went. last time, i had a letter sent to a European country... but the US post office had the kindness to clip on an apology letter when it was resent to me! :D

I am. thank you so much again! and thanks for letting me know my site doesn't load on IE. now I have to put up a notification that this should be best viewed via chrome. I had no idea IE is still used though! :D
