When my sister gave me this Regalong Pambahay jewelry box last Christmas 2010, I've been so inspired to buy accessories. No. I don't really wear accessories. But Yes, I do have a lot... pala haha

Just today I bought two rings :D

This is a quirky looking ring. I like the bright pastel colors and the details on it. This accessory was bought at Robinson's Dept. Store for only P150 approx.

The ring when worn... quirky right? If you've been following me on my blog, this is the very same photo I uploaded when I shared about my beloved nail polish from Etude House.

This ring was bought from a designer. Not mine, ate's.

Flower Power rings from Forever 21. From L to R: Orange ring P495 bought at the mall, Black ring P395/495 also ata bought at House of Flair, and Carnation Pink ring P395 bought at the mall. All these rings have elastic bands... not the most comfortable and durable but are great for people who're not blessed with sexy fingers.

Sunflower ring from Rustans U P495. Like crazy, I wanted to buy all the colors kaso I find it expensive! :( or I'm just poor na talaga!

Tiny flower ring (similar to my sister's right? but with more details) bought on sale for only P199 at Cache Cache.

Weee sunfloweryyy... bought today for only P100!!! Super steal for such a cutey Japanese ring.

Pasalubong from my favorite girl This butterfly ring flew all the way from San Antonio Texas haha

I like the details on this ring. Simple and delicate. This is only P50! Bought from a tiangge.

Of course with many flower rings there should be butterfly rings too hahaha P50 only!

Terno ring for only P80.

DAMN love this ring so much... I forgot to put watermark! haha anyway I loooove this ring sooo much! Bought from Parfois for only P500-ish!

See how beautiful it is. Love the details sooo much.

Tiny star ring from Be Like a Star. Thank you Be Like a Star! Please visit their site!

It's so tiny... couldn't fit my fingers!!! Well luckily my pinky finger made the cut. Thought it'd be weird to wear a ring on that finger but look, it's actually really cute.

Bracelet was from my doctor. Took the photo after receiving my first Anti-Cervical Cancer vaccine. :) Two more shots and I'm protected for life! You should start yours if you haven't yet!

Because we're against cancer, a pinkkkkk photo is but necessary...

In the pink photo I was wearing this cocktail ring from People are People. :)

Another cocktail ring from People are People.

More haul from Be Like a Star shoppe. I enjoyed browsing through her accessories! For this particular one, I love this because it's Hannah Montana ish! AND KAWAII!

No studs to worry about! Design is in the texture! Shocks, I forgot how much I bought this for but you may check Be Like a Star shoppe for more information on Korean items and accessories.

Love this necklace. Another Kawaii find from Be Like a Star Multiply shop.

It reminds me so much of "The Queen of Hearts" chapter from Jeanette Winterson's book The Passion.

Speaking of heart, bought just today, this "antique" looking Heart ring. Another one of those Japanese finds naman.

A more elegant take on the heart shape... a delicate feminine studded heart earring. Bought at Be Like a Star [dot] multiply [dot] com.

Beautifully embellished Bow ring from Forever 21. Bought at the mall for around P395 also. I believe all the rings I have been buying from Forever 21 are P395 something. I wanted this, for the first time, this simple elephant ring but it was the last stock! Sayang, P195 lang yun!

Just bought today! The cutest cheapest bow earring ever! This is just for P59! It was found on sale! Yey!

My Charm Stippling Brush
Don't get me wrong, I love my Charm brushes. Among them all, (I have the Charm Travel Pro V.2, Retractable Kabuki Brush, and Mini Buki) I love my Charm Stippling Brush the most simply because I'm a sucker for the "airbrush" effect which is easily achievable with a stippling brush/technique.

However... not only did I experience sucky shedding with my Charm Stippling Brush, the ferrule also got loose too soon (I just got it last December 2010 first week but second week of January 2011 I had to secure the ferrule using mighty bond already :( so depressing, truly... hay); but also, for the nth time, I noticed that the black bristles were bleeding. At first I thought it's just an effect that can be mistaken as bleeding but really just wet white fiber bristles reflecting the black hairs on the brushes... however, tonight I couldn't just brush it off once again. I checked it using a towel, and bam. the sad truth,. It is bleeding. It sort of scares me a little.. I'm bothered a lot.

I'm bothered because, do I also put that black bleeding shade/paint on my face when I put make-up?

Photos below

Good photo first: see how great the look I achieved using my Charm Stippling Brush? I look so fresh and smooth and youthful! :)

Proof of bleeding...

I use mild all-organic baby shampoo on my brushes so it baffled me how it can cause such bleeding. Compared to my Etude House Mini-Stippling Brush and my Marionnaud's Powder Fluff Brush, there's no bleeding. These brushes have black bristles too but no bleeding, so it's really weird why Charm Stippling Brush bleeds like that. :(

Close-up of the bleeding... huhu
I guess tonight's discovery makes my rating of Charm Stippling Brush a little bit shaky. I still love it because it can get and dispense product so effectively! But... I don't think it's the type of brush that would last long. Not with a loose ferrule and not with that kind of shedding and bleeding.

Charm brushes are sold here.

Talika Lipocils line is very convenient to find. Just click here. Don't forget to read about my Online Shopping "cheat sheet" before proceeding to checkout :p

If you want thicker, longer lashes, Lipocils is the product for you. It promises exactly that in just a few days. In less than a month, clinically proven results would be yours too!

I'm not very sure with the "longer lashes" claim, but after trying Talika Lipocils for a while, I can vouch for the "healthy lashes" effect. My lashes are now healthier, they don't fall off easily, especially when I remove make-up--and same as with skin, having perfectly conditioned lashes is the secret to having sexy fluttery peepers.
Quick Tip: Lipocils is definitely NOT for sharing OK? Because it has a more liquid formulation than a mascara, it requires greater thought and hygienic effort. In cosmetics, liquid=bacteria...sooo,

TIP: Don't Share;
MAKE SURE your lashes no longer have traces of make-up, especially mascara on it, unless you want to dirty up the wand of your Lipocils...
AND last, wipe the wand on a clean tissue after using it.

Enjoy and good luck!

To those who didn't know...

I was sick last Christmas 2010...

And yes, to explain the scribbles on the photo before this particular one...

My dog pounced on me!!!

She was just being playful but since her nails were not groomed at that time, I got THAT!

It made me miss the days when she was just cute and tinyyy...

Because of the incident, I missed the days when she actually sleeps on my bed, in my room.

But anyway, just sharing that here's the progress of my scar. I use Human Heart Nature's Body Butter in Mango scent. It's effective on all sort of scarring--I guess the deep intensive moisturizing effect the body butter commits really help heal the skin. If you have scars like mine and even stretchmarks, you know what to do. Email me at kumikomae@lovingsunshine.com

To me there are two kinds of people: those who think and those who feel.

On my Bell de Jour Power Planner, I have among my pending tasks this: "Feelings > Facts", written exactly that way, as an inequality.

Almost two years ago, I was still playing Sorority Life on Facebook and if you have been playing at the same period as I was, then you would've probably heard of my "sorority house" called SPF (Sidney Prince Foundation), named after my Sorority Queen counterpart, Sidney Prince. Yes, I am the third most influential (internationally, serious!) and voted for down the catwalk. Yes, I am the House Mom of one of the most influential Sorority Houses on Sorority Life. Yes, I have bid my sisters goodbye. I became too busy and unable to handle a cyber Sorority Queen life where believe it or not, I did have to mediate between sisters, between houses, launch activities, events, host parties and discussions, etc.

I shared that because right now I feel like I miss my sisters, those cyber sisters who comforted me during the time of Ondoy. Those who I got to talk to about guys who harass me on buses when I go home real late from school or work. I feel like I miss my cyber sisters who treat me like a friend, even for a brief moment, even for such a superficial level. I have friends, real life few friends I know I cant count on. I just feel like I miss my cyber sisters, friends I can count on for a while, and not feel guilty of bothering real late at night because on their timezone, it's not really a bother.

Hm, I probably just wish I were alone with you again at a place where nobody really knows our name.

There are two kinds of people: those who want to remember things and those who want to remember feelings.

Right now, I can't remember how many steps it took for me to reach Kiltepan, nor do I even remember how many times I had to cross a hanging bridge. I can't remember what time I slept in the afternoon, or did I even? But I remember how it feels to wake up at 4 in the morning. I remember how it feels like to hear insects in the dark. I remember how it feels like to watch movies on Star Movies through a teeny-tiny CRT TV, while in your arms.

I kinda miss that international feeling.

Fear not what you don't know but the knowledge you''d forget.
I believe that who we are is a culmination of the past, the present and the future we set our eyes on. What struck me the most about Still Alice is it's gripping tell-all story of Dr. Alice Howland, a woman of great stature in the academic field, Harvard University nonetheless, and how she came to terms, managed and dealt with a diagnosis of early on-set of Alzheimer's Disease.

I think nothing is scarier to face than a slow death--not simply physically but also one that strikes the emotional and mental well-being of a person. For those who know people who had or is suffering Alzheimer's, Still Alice is a welcoming and a comforting novel--appealing somehow as a memoirs--that can help you understand what it really is like to be in the mind of a person, well, losing her thoughts a neuron at a time. Lisa Genova's Still Alice is sad yet thought provoking. I really admire how she narrated such story with unquestinable grace.

My eyes welled-up when Alice made a speech in one of those conferences not as the esteemed professor but as a patient, voicing out what needs to be heard before her ideas and thoughts are long-forgotten.

Imagine your life, fading away... what will you hold on to the hardest?
