REVIEW: Etude House Over the Rainblusher

I'm on a highlighting phase right now. I can't remember exactly if it were an article or a show I've seen, but I'm stuck on the "young skin is not flat" mantra. To look younger, your skin should glow. Anything matte (or flat) adds numbers to ones age so yes, not that I'm ancient but I'm really on a highlighting phase right now.

The fact that my new highlighting powder palette is super cute doesn't hurt too! Read more about Etude House LUCIDarling Over the Rainblusher after the jump! Finally, Etude House named a product properly, not just a code! Don't you just hate how some really nice products are named with codes?
Prismatic multi-colored cheek blush and highlighter for expressing all colors of the rainbow. The one I have is shade #02 Cherry Couple.

I have to be honest, I bought this palette because of the rainbow design. I mean, hello, who wouldn't want rainbows in their vanity kits, right? Below are the swatches of the different colored powders from the palette. The first two from the left I use to highlight my nose and my chin. The three pinks are for my cheeks. :)

The great thing though is it's actually really nice! I can't live without it. Along with my highlighting phase, I have been having little-make-up days. All I've been wearing was BB cream and this (and a lip balm or so). I feel so fresh whenever I use this. If you mix 'em altogether, it's this shimmery. I like how it makes me look like I have glitter freckles. :D

I just love this palette from Etude House. It's limited edition too so I feel like it's really a good idea that I got it! No purchase guilt here. Just happiness! BTW, I visited their Facebook page and found that they have a mid-year sale!
Oh yeah!!!
How about you? Any happy purchase you would like to share?

  3. thats adorable!!! they should have one with all the colors of the rainbow that end up being a neutral color when you mix them all together. that would be epic!

  5. I would think the white shimmer might be good as eye shadow, to open up the eyes.

    1. i will keep that in mind and try it out BUT would have to check the ingredients list of this shimmer. i read that anything with lake dyes should not be used near the eye area. lake dyes are usually present in blushes :D

  8. That is one of the cutest blushes I have ever seen! Glad to hear it was good quality as well - the swatches are super pretty I must say. I am really into highlighting as well, but I am using cream based highlighters. I would like to give pressed powder ones a try...
