Book to Basics #25 Sexing the Cherry by Jeanette Winterson

Sexing the Cherry is by far the most intriguing book titles I've ever encountered. It's such a vivid tease, don't you think? When you read "Sexing the Cherry", what wild things come to mind?

Of course the novel did not disappoint. I feel that Sexing the Cherry defines where pain and beauty meet. You know what they say about looking past suffering to find something more powerful than pain? I think Sexing the Cherry is born out of that.

As always, here are some interesting book covers for Sexing the Cherry. If there's something I would like to do, it is to complete a collection of Jeanette Winterson books. I find her writing so compelling, so strong and thought-provoking; yes that's true, but more than her writing, all her cover arts are as compelling, strong and thought-provoking too.

Reading Sexing the Cherry naturally made me feel so sensual. I would recommend cushioning your heart with sensual soulful music as you flip through her pages.

Listen to Slow Train's music... did you know they have a song titled "Sexing the Cherry" too? Here it is. It shook me to the core.

Time to hold someone dear close, real close.
