Book to Basics #46 The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins

There are about two things I love about being sick (because I do have a few things to hate about it). I love that when I'm sick I can watch DVD all day long without anyone complaining about it (mostly also because the people who should be complaining are either at work or in school). I love that when I'm starting to feel better I get to read books--oh and read books I just did!

Last Christmas I wished for The Hunger Games book. Luckily, my secret santa got me that exactly and soon after I found myself so hooked with the story. I love how it reminds me of Battle Royale but with a twist. The Hunger Games trilogy is remarkably fast-paced and gripping. I couldn't lay it to rest.

Good thing book shopping is made easier with our online book buddy named Lucy. If you're a fan of Fullybooked then you know Lucy! She's our book godmother, always ready to help us find our favorite titles! Help me she did. I just twat (is that the past tense of tweet?) @_fullybooked with my book title reservations and alakazam, all I had to do was show up and pick up my books! No more frustrated book shopper, I was just one happy Hunger Games fan. Thank goodness for technology (and for Fullybooked's exemplary customer service).

If you're thinking of starting a new book-fixation, you might want to check out The Hunger Games trilogy, especially before it hits the cinemas. To get a copy, simply tweet Lucy! It can't get easier than that! Well actually it can, if you purchase online and just have the books delivered to your doorsteps! Simple visit www.fulybookedonline.com to start shopping.

Since I've been stuck at home for the past few days, sick not lazy, I managed to catch up on some reading. It was a bit difficult because I easily got dizzy due to my condition but I would rather read books than watch TV any time. I finished Catching Fire and Mockingjay in those two days and I'm so excited to see the trilogy come to life in theaters!
I love her attitude! I know she's got that frail-used-in denial girl thing going on, but I love how dedicated she was to her family. I think more than the star-crossed lovers plot, I love Katniss' self-realization journey the most.

I mean you, what are you fighting for?

Here are some fan art from the web. Enjoy and be intrigued! Instead of our usual Kumiquote, let's check out some memorable quotes from the trilogy.
