BOOKREVIEW#48 Dear Dumb Diary

Like this post if you once kept a diary--or are still keeping one.
I am hardly an angsty person. Even as a teenager, I think I lacked in that department; but because I've been reading voraciously (much of which are deep or sad stories), and because I have three classic titles in line, I decided to give my brain cells a break and read something like Dear Dumb Diary. I got this book (the Dear Dumb Diary three-books-in-one edition) months ago for my little sister but apparently she doesn't like reading. I read it instead.

It is very "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" girl version. I can't relate to it much as I know the school environment I experienced is different from the school environment "described" in the book but I find the book's humor fascinating. I wonder if kids project their teen angst in diaries and through comic art still. Perhaps they should.

Dear Dumb Diary stars Jamie Kelly.

And ahh yes, the perfect girl. I really liked the third book: Am I the Princess or the Frog?'s ending.

What tween or young adult book do you recommend?
