Do you want to know her Royal Secret?

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, or Kate Middleton, then princess in waiting, now wife of Prince William, is so beautiful. She's so beautiful I couldn't even bring myself to describe her briefly. She looks so simple yet always elegant. You would think to look regal would cost so much.

But who would think that KATE’S BEAUTY SECRET IS a 5£ CREAM. The mystery cream is from Nivea.

The wife of Prince William, Kate Middleton, was spotted shopping at a Boots store just hours before dazzling at her first official engagement at the Ark Gala Dinner at Kensington Palace on June 9, 2011. The newspapers in Ireland and UK quickly picked it up and revealed that she was buying the NIVEA VISAGE Pure & Natural Day Cream for £5.10. The journalist quoted a friend of Kate: ”Kate is not someone who believes in spending a lot of money automatically guarantees quality. She has never been afraid of a bargain. NIVEA VISAGE Day Cream is now a real favourite with her. She’s been buying it for some time.”[1] And not just her. According to Ralph Gusko, General Manager of the Beiersdorf UK/Ireland Group, sales of NIVEA VISAGE Pure & Natural jumped up by 85% at Boots after release of the news.
”She is also quite a fan of NIVEA VISAGE Anti-Wrinkle Q10 Plus Night Cream, which is again very affordable at £10.20 a tub.”[2], Kate’s friend added. Similar press coverage was given to Kate’s beauty choice by the UK’s “Mail Online” who has more than 34 million unique readers every month or “The Telegraph”. Nicolo Pome, Marketing Director of Beiersdorf UK, was very delighted with the good news. “We are quite honoured that NIVEA is doing its part to make Kate & William “Feel Closer”. It confirms that NIVEA is delivering top quality at affordable prices. We all are very proud that she “swears by” NIVEA and that she won plaudits for her radiant look on her first public engagement with her husband.”

Now we know why Kate was applauded by her commentators during the ARK Gala charity dinner where she looked radiant and glamorous.[3] One product she loves, NIVEA Q10+ Anti-wrinkle Night Care contains skin’s own coenzyme Q10. It provides long-lasting energy supply to support skin and thus reducing and preventing wrinkles from within. That makes it a natural choice to fight signs of skin aging.

Princess Kate's close than perfect and always in-love glow is very Barbie like indeed, so I'm not surprised when I saw this.

Also coming up, no make-up make-up look. I used my Sephora blending sponge for this. Revv'd it here.

  1. I think that's really cool how she still buys drugstore items even though she can afford high end skincare products. You really don't need to pay more for high quality items :)

  2. I love that day cream Kate uses!! :) I've used it before and I love the texture and scent. Is that you in the picture? You look SO pretty! Nice skin! :D

  3. I love Nivea products too.:D Yay for affordable skin care.;D
