It was an accident how I stumbled upon the movie I'm featuring on this particular blog post. I was just looking for a nice photo through Google. I just searched the keywords "children love" because the book review I wanted to do deserved photos that evoked such, but Google showed me the photo I have below. I saved it and it saved under the file name "Show me Love Sweden". As if by gut, I thought, this must be a film! So I googled the "Show Me Love" title, also included in the country Sweden in my search, and voila, I was right! It's a film!

Immediately I went to youTube, since I'm really BAD at finding things online, and next thing you know I'm featuring the lesbian film on my beloved blog. Hope you all enjoy.

Show me some love by checking out my ads. They're all related-ads and are mostly very relevant and interesting. No judgments here, okay? Enjoy the film and I hope all ye' gay ones had a happy Pride Month! June's Pride month in the Philippines and what better way to close the Tuesy month than this fantastic lesbian film, sure to hit you in the right places.

You're the one that I'll ever need. Show me love and what it's all about, alright? :)

I love this movie. I won't blog too much this Tuesday. I'd like you to channel in all those minutes to watching this wonderful lesbian coming out film.

Just the right amount of youthful confusion, just the right amount of love. Love, it always shows. See it, here:

I owe you guys a book review of this wonderful book that I refuse to reveal without a proper review. Wait for that, yes?

Please comment about the film. Don't you think it's wonderful?

I'm using the Agnes and Elin photo at my Twitter background now, fyi. It's pure love. :D Do follow if you twitter. :D

No work in classical ballet has been adored and restaged as Tsaichovsky's Swan Lake. Deemed as a haunting coming-of-age tale of an innocent prince whose doomed love for the swan queen leads him from passion to betrayal, this 1877 original Moscow masterpiece would find glory through the internationally acclaimed grace of the Cultural Center of the Philippines' (CCP) very own, the Philippine Ballet Theater (PBT).

Beginning July 1, at the CCP Main Theater, get a chance to watch for yourself this enigmatic story unfold. The lead role of Prince Siegfried is special guest artist from The Houston Ballet, Mr. Linnar Looris; while Swan Queen Odette and Odile would be played by PBT's rising stars, Tiffany Mangulabnan and Bianca Trocino.

As a gift, to jump start July, I would be raffling off three (Sunday) tickets to this most-awaited show. Join and bring your special someone, friends and/or family and celebrate with PBT's 24th season.

HOW TO JOIN:
Follow my blog through Google connect, found on my sidebar. (1 entry)
Follow my page and post something on the wall so I know you're there. (1 entry)
Follow me on twittter and @kumikomae me so I will know you're there. (1 entry)
Blog, Tweet, FB Status (make sure it's for everyone), ETC. about my contest, link back to here of course, and comment back with the link to your post. (2 entries per link; 3 entries if you use the photo; 5 entries if you tell me why you want to watch Philippine Ballet Theater's Swan Lake.)
ADD YOUR ENTRIES UP and leave a comment of the breakdown and I will owe you much thanks and reward you with a whopping (+4 entries). :)

Please don't miss this chance. Have a beautiful end of June and an unforgettable beginning of July. I will announce the winner on July 1 together with the winner of my Super Mid-Year Treat--a fun cutesy contest I also encourage you to join if you haven't yet, and to continue joining if you already have!

I was never a fan of Manila because I'm afraid to walk its streets alone, anytime of the day BUT I have always been a fan of Manila's rich culture and character. I wonder how great it is to dance along the streets of Manila with this song. I want to do it, if anyone is game, you know how to reach me: here.

Dance. Dance. Dance.

Is it possible to fulfill half a dozen gay stereotypes and also preach hateful bigotry about homosexuality in the name of religion? - From here.

Watch this video taken from the site previously linked. While the video's loading, enjoy some of the funny comments the video got from web surfers:
"Straight??? The scarf says otherwise, accessories don't lie!" -mifune141
"God is fabulouth" -JustaEropeanguy
"The truth will set you free" indeed. The irony of this appears lost on poor Adam." -Rhymenocerous

Appreciate these:
"I question your biblical scholarship. Among other things. And while it's one thing to slander God, as you and your fellow evangelicals love to do by planiting your thoughts in His m0uth, it's quite another to slander nature. And nature sets aside a percentage of many species, including humans, as preferring their own sex. You can deny it, but you just end up looking ignorant." -Mediahohoho
"ALL of my sins are sugar-coated." -Shrutiborus

I have nothing against people who are against homosexuality, but I do have a lot of "against" to their reasons for going against homosexuality. Come on guys, shower the world with love, not hate!

Love, not hate!

Way to go Vanessa Carlton!

Again, in an effort of being more informative, I have placed various links of my keywords. Enjoy and learn, with me. :)

Well, I really don't have the right to call it a Master Cleanse diet BUT I'm trying my best. Like I said, I'm undisciplined, not-so-crazy-and-in-a-hurry to shed pounds. I just want to win my bet on August... and I want to make the world suffer. (That's an inside joke between me and, me!).

I succeedded, in a way, in remaining true to the Master Cleanse diet the whole day. It was during dinner time that I failed. I couldn't say no to the Steamed Tilapia, upon seeing the tomatoes, since I trule love tomatoes. I thought, it's steamed. It wouldn't be as sinful, so I had.

I felt happy though. I don't feel (too) deprived and that's key to any diet, right? So off to the next day. AND in my defense, I did this month's Women's Health workout. The one that focuses on getting the best glutes and thighs and legs, oh did I sweat! I also did a nice short jog on the treadmill... so hard talaga to jog on the treadmill. Easier outdoors, but I had no choice because it was too dark outside already.

Earlier this morning I tried the Salt Water flush. In less than 30 minutes after drinking my solution, I threw up, yuh. :(

I don't get sick, easily, but of the many years of non-hospitalization, I've been hospitalized twice, I think, due to dehydration. So that makes two out of three, one because I had dengue. Being overly quick to justifying things, I think it's safe to safe I am a sucker to dehydration... so the Salt Water flush was honestly what I feared the most about the Master Cleanse diet.

I'm scared to go through it again in the mornings to follow. I hate gagging, vomiting, feeling nauseous. To save myself I has two matchbox sized yellow fin tuna steak (because I felt so weak, and scared that my mom completely take it against me if I get sick) and regular french fries (because I felt so tempted, so much for my Facebook status haha!).

Anyway, I have all intentions of keeping my 1000 calorie allowance for my "easing in" period. After say four or five days, I think I'll be ready to completely go solid food-less.

Thank you for those who supports, would support me on twitter #sexykumi.

I placed different useful links on the words "Master Cleanse diet", for all of you to enjoy.

No, those cereals don't belong. One, I don't like Fruit Loops and two, because I've decided, this Choosy Tuesday I should probably work on getting rid of one of the post-its I have on my wonderwall.

I bought my favorite magazine, delicious sugar free maple syrup and some lemons, just to try. In summation, I have the raw ingredients for the hyped and the diet I'm most curious about, the Master Cleanse diet.

If you have tried or thought of dieting, then shame on you if you don't know about the Master Cleanse diet. I am doing this because I am in this competition against a friend and our deadline is on August, and I have not been serious about it all! Oh I would lose! So I thought, it would be great if I attempt being successful with the Master Cleanse diet, by doing so I hit two birds with one stone.

I would be more than happy if you support me with this.

ALTHOUGH, I'd be so much happier to do this for all of you. EHMUHGHED. I'm so going to document this to let you all know whether a Master Cleanse diet is for a typical undisciplined dieter.

Anyway, here's a little inspiration to dance to. Let's put a ring on this (an NBA pun since this year's playoff aka. battle towards the most-coveted ring is just so exciting).

YESTERDAY WAS EPIC.

To begin with, I had to do some roundabouts for an article for Spot. It's something that goes totally against my plans for the evening, which was to rock the Rock and Run marathon--but what the hell. I am all heart for opportunities like such. I love writing.

I knew I was to face an amazing day so I decided to fix up. I really loved my look for the day. Messy uncombed hair tied up in a high ponytail, like how cheerleaders would, discreetly winged eyes (Blinc eyeliner) to match the natural light brown shades swept on the lids (E.L.F, Elizabeth Arden, Lola) and proper-framing brows (Elianto), sweet mascara (Tarte), soft-spoken bronzer on the cheeks (Beauty and Minerals) and my favorite face-brightening pink lipstick (Lola) topped with candilicious pink gloss (Smashbox).

What do you think?

In the photo above I was wearing MY UP Pep Squad Jacket. In the photo below I was wearing my friend and foe-ever drummer crush's Drummer Jacket. Both jackets were soaked by the time I got home, truly EPIC.

I was wearing my 5260 singlet, super short skort aka panyong nagpapanggap na palda and an Adidas running shoe. I felt like I was back in college because the look I had on below is basically my Pepping look. Oh, how exciting. UAAP season 73 is just around the corner.

Of course my brother had a photo by the stage and "Abbey Road" too. Actually, it was I who came in second to this shot but because it's MY blog, my photo came first! LOL

I was with my brother and other Be My Rockstar winner, Elaine Tan. She's the one who wasn't there at the meet and greet. Finally!
We checked-in early and well, had such a blast chillin' like villains with other Rock and Runners.

Elaine even met one of his super missed friends, who happen to be wearing the coolest running footwear in town! Oh! I couldn't resist it!

Below are proofs of how early we were! haha!

oiCa onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_6YZA264XzsA/TB1W1uLohzI/AAAAAAAABWY/fEVT67Mg7gE/s1600/Photo-2863.jpg">

(Photo upload FAIL)

(Shocks, what's wrong with Blogger?)

Haha! I was pretending I'm too tired na. :)

Good thing we were early BECUUZZ it rained sooooooo SOOOO HARD ~_~ !!! Below is my favorite photo. It's sooo fun! Look at us Ma'! I haven't stayed under the rain for the longest time so the rain last night was such a delight!

Above is a winning "it's raining" photo of my brother that I took. Awesome cause her singlet's glowing and the background has this effect, eh photo isn't photoshopped! That's how it registered on my PHONE by default. Grabe I thought my phone would be a bust by the end of the run since it really did POUR HEAVILY.

Happy though cause by 7PM, oh yes, so fast to finish especially for first timers!!!, by 7pm we were already WINNERS. :)

Grabe look at how soaked we are! It was a bit difficult to run under the weather but it made the run easier to manage especially for a first timer like me. No dehydration. No heat stroke. Just sheer "showered" goodness haha!

Sayang lang,
it would've been really great too if the concert pushed through.

Since we were SOAKED, we decided to stay at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf to dry up--and of course because I wanted MYGREENTEA. I'm so addicted to it! Try it with SOY MILK instead! Makes it taste more herbal (?), or rather TEA-y (haha I am finding difficulty in describing it).

Oh please do congratulate my brother because (here's a list of his partidas) he's a first timer, he didn't have any conditioning prior the run and he was wearing basketball shoes BUT he finished among the first 100 runners to reach the finish line. He was runner #90!! I am proud. :D

Of course there are the "better late than never" runners :p Miekay's amazing cause she finished the run WHILE carrying her bag! Now THAT'S A ROCKSTAR! :D Hi Nikki, congratulations again! You know among the group I really wanted to congratulate you because I felt your kaba falaga with the run. Thankful ako na nagpapilit ka!!!

Parang birthday ko lang o, haha!

In the photo above is my beautiful future singing buddy who is the owner of the wonderful jacket I wore for the marathon. Thanks sponsor! haha

There's something wrong with the Blogger photo upload, hence the lines you see on the photos. If you want to see the clean files, check this album out. I uploaded them here for archiving. :) I'm so forgetful eh!

Thank you so much for such a great event! Thank you to Runnr and PRC Inc for giving me the opportunity to launch my Be My Rockstar contest! 'Til next time, yes? Yes!

I have to admit, I almost forgot it's another FRIendly FRIday upon my blog. Luckily, I remembered hence this wonderful follow friday--which thanks to that little memory mishap, serves perfectly apt.

I'm thankful I remembered about my FRIendly FRIday project, and I'm thankful she's the blogger I would feature on this blog post.

Romantic Dreaming is a lovely blog kept by a mommy to be, lovely right? I suggest you follow her if you love kids. I'm sure she'd post wonderful photos of her baby in the future--exciting!

I didn't read all but so far, I am sincerely "aww"-ing for her posts. If you love anything romantic (as suggested by her site url) you'd enjoy her blog as much as I did. Savor in the many quotes she has featured on the sides of her blog, not to mention her own "quotabble quotes".

Visit and show her some love. Hello Laura, I'm thankful for your blog. ♥

BTW, if I find the time tonight I would be creating a FRIendly FRIday section among my sidebars so you can enjoy a list of the wonderful blogs I have featured weekly. Great idea don't you think? :) So if you have any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it. Make yourself heard.

WHY FOLLOW HER? She is a "romantic dreamer".

Super Mid-Year na pala Contest!

Hi everyone, I just realized that it's the mid-day of the mid-month of the year! You know, June being the mark of 2010's half and we...
Well well well, wasn't last week a blast?
And now, it's another Tuesday that is upon us. (As some of you would know, I am a Tuesday Blogger, which is why an alias for my blog is Tuesy Tuesday)

It's the first day of school for the little and not-so-little tykes. I woke up quite early today (as I've promised myself) and enjoyed a morning jog. It was a super quick jog not because I was tired na mind you, but because I'd be late for work. :) Nonetheless, it was happily capped off by a chicken nuggets feast! I love it! I love chicken, but I'm semi-and-unsurely allergic to it.

Speaking of allergy, ladies and gents of my generation, don't you just feel all nostalgic with this wonderful Warner Bros. cartoon? Allergy to a certain genre of music, oh I think I also semi have that.

I woke up with hopes of having a good day. I refuse to be brought down. Let's singa'! I remember what a really special friend once told me, which I took as a blow but served as an important lesson in time, apparently, "You can't take it against someone else if they don't react the way you hope for them to react to your actions." I think to co-exist with people, we have to accept that as much as we have expectations from each other, what someone else would offer as a response shouldn't be automatically regarded as a disappointing response just because it isn't what we expected it to be.

Our expectations is not a sound basis of disappointment. When people begin to live with impositions, the whole world would theoretically be potential disappointments.

-K-

I'm in love with you, I'm in love with you, sing. Thank you Triszh for posting this video on your Facebook. I miss you girly.

Hey everyone! Yesterday, June 13, 2010, a glorious Sunday, I met with the Rock and Run: Be My Rockstar contest winners. I made a vlog before conquering the day. It's much better than the pre-meet and greet vlog I made with my Friendly is the New Healthy: Win a White Hat date contest. Again, thank you to contest sponsors Runnr: Defy your limits, through PRC Inc; Maybelline Philippines: Maybe she's born with it, Maybe it's Maybelline; and ZEN Health magazine.

Anyway, just wanted all of you to have a closer look at the earrings I wore. Sunflowers! I love sunflowers!

Because it's been raining lately, I wore this poncho we got from one of our Tagaytay trips. It's really ugly or should I say unfashionable! haha! Luckily though, I got to make it work. Surprisingly really well! I wore this weird disoriented shirt dress underneath it and just wrapped a garterized waist belt over it and voila. With my uncombed tied-up hair, it looked reasonable, nice even... what ya' think?

I was carrying such a big bag with my, really short dress haha! I carried my giveaways, thank you ZEN Health Magazine and Maybelline! You made my rockstars' day.

Not shown in photo, I left the house wearing this brown jewelled Grendha slippers. I ended up buying cutesy rainboots by noon! Uh, I should stay away malls... leave my card at home!

Below is contest winner Vannleih rather happy with her make-up! I told her, it's for everyday use! I mean it! Maybelline make-up's for everyday use! Light and br-easy to use (pun intended) and with the set they got (clear smooth powder, angel lift blush and watershine lipstick), nothing else can spell perfect for everyday, even lazy day, make-up more precisely.

I personally love Maybelline's watershine lipsticks. They're perfect for my lips because the lipstick is super hydrating it serves as a gloss too! It doesn't dry the lips plus it has rich and long-lasting color. Truth is, it is this very line of lipstick which moved me from my teeny-bopper lip balm only phase to a sexy lady-like lipsticks make my look woman.

Hey ladies, hope you enjoy the glam. You are all soooo worth it!

My early birds are Miekay and Vannleih. I teased them about what they were wearing. I was like you guys look cute together. What's your type of music (since I have a theory that fashion is not an expression of the self per se, rather of your playlist!) We ended up talking about sneakers :) They were so good in urging me into getting one! TRIVIA: I don't have sneakers! Sponsors? :)

After all the winners arrived, well except Elaine who's at a review that time, we all went to Runnr Bonifacio High Street and experienced the unique shoe-searching technique one can find only in Runnr. The Footworx Gait analysis System, practically a simple three-step process which converts running shoe-shopping a complete science, analyzes your style of running to guide you in choosing the proper trainers to optimize your training and to conveniently prevents injuries while improving and strengthening one's stride.

The group's youngest was first to try Footworx. Please click the Footworx link for a clear step-by-step description of what one can do and how one can benefit with Runnr's exclusive Gait analysis technology.

While Miekay was running, the rest of the dudettes were given an informative explanation on the importance of determining one's running style. More than safety, serious runners can really benefit with the proper footwear. At Runnr, as it is a specialty store, the thrust is basically towards that. The development and use of various technologies that can provide runners the gear that they need for their hobby or lifestyle.

Please read through the benefits of the Footworx. It's interesting because the consultation is free so by how I see it, if these benefits simply follow making the right choice for footwear, I think it should just be practical and even logical to take advantage of it especially if one is serious in getting in to running.

Uy, clean feet! :) She was asked to run a short while. A video discreetly hidden among the racks records the run and afterward this is analyzed, just like how teams record their games to study each team's play.

Below is a photo of step one. It marks the feet's arc. By doing so one can determine the kind of support one should look for in a shoe.

Rockstar mom, Chelle was next to run for the stars! It was cute how the arc of her feet, as reflected on the scan of her footprints manifested how she unconsciously uses her left foot more often than the right.

After the fun and after registration, it was the last day of Rock and Run registration, it was picture-picture time with the rockstars.

From left to right: Vannleih Solidum, Chelle Hill, Miekay Masigla and Nikki Tuason. Congratulations! Looking forward to a nice and eventful Saturday!

Of course it's time to take a photo with our friends from Runnr. Thank you so much for organizing such a wonderful marathon. The Rock and Run concert-marathon is for the benefit of Republikha Foundation, so it's not just a fun event but it is also for a cause--makes it all the more worth it to participate right?

We're all set!

Fashionable Nikki had to leave earlier (sad) and couldn't join us for Krispy Kremes but it's alright. It was a nice short but sweet bonding opportunity for me to get to know my running rockstars! Miekay, ano na! :D

Looking forward to Saturday and yes, it was such a thrill and pleasure to meet you all. Again, my favorite Japanese word arises...

Friends, exactly 12 days from now, the exciting action film by none other than handsome dad Tom Cruise and sweet smiling Cameron Diaz would be shown in stores nationwide! Mark you calendars, June 24, 2010, it's movie day... or knight!

In line with the movie, I'd like to give kudos to global phenomenon Black Eyed Peas for such an amazing song for Knight and Day! I have to admit, although I'm not a big fan of hiphop, I do follow the music of this amazing group. I was among the millions of fans who felt a bit saddened when the group semi-broke up.

Fortunately they rose from the ashes (although they never really died that way--at all!) and gave their fans such a strong comeback. To date, the six-time Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum Interscope recording group are currently on their E.N.D World Tour. E.N.D is the Black Eyed Peas' current album with sales of over 2.5 million in the US alone.

First of all, HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY to my beloved country! Although I still think you're not as "free" as you're supposed to be, I'm sure the better "democracy" isn't far from reality. Dear new government under (ouch this is painful) President Benigno Aquino III, aka P. Noy (ouch! more painful!!!), please make the wonderful Philippine islands more stable. Our nation is a land of heroes, and I hope more Filipinos and leaders under your government realize the innate potential of our people.

Speaking of heroes, check out the University Athletics Association of the Philippines Season 73 teaser by this year's host centenarian De La Salle University (Animo!! I'm not from La Salle but I love green so Animo!!! buti na lang may green ang UP! Let's go U P!)

When I did my storytelling stint for the Toy Story3 convention I felt, I don't know, a bit refreshed? Children are so precious. If it isn't for children, the world would go haywire. Don't forget to be a child, I always say--and I mean it. Don't forget to be a child.

But be mature, okay?

***

Tomorrow I will see my Rock and Run contest winners. I am excited, beyond belief! When I started this blog I promised myself, I will not waste other people's time and energy. I promised myself that although internet space is more than enough for the whole world (animals included) to own ten blogs or more each, I will not waste a URL. So far, I hope, I'm staying true to my words.

I still think that life is about making connections. Of course getting to keep these connections a bonus, but personally I think the real important thing to do is to establish ties. Real deep and sincere connections with people that may just be a part of your life in passing, but a part nonetheless.

As always, hajimemashite!

-K-

Cheers to making ties... or ribbons? :) Cheers to those who tie knots, if you know what I mean.

Don't forget to be a child.

First of all, HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY to my beloved country! Although I still think you're not as "free" as you're suppose...
