MAKEUP: Dreaming of Lioele

There are so many reasons why one would love Asian cosmetics. My favorite reason would have to be their attention to design. My second favorite reason is their commitment to color and quality. Style and cosmetic prowess... these two things I found in Lioele Cosmetics. Have you heard of Lioele before? If you haven't yet, continue reading after the jump! If you have already, I'm sure you don't need convincing, let me share with you three Lioele products that I got to dip my lovely hands on. :)
First I got to try the Lioele Triple Beyond Solution BB cream*. I only had sample sachets so I can't really tell how far this product can go and how much of an investment piece it can be, but you know what surprised me about Lioele's Triple Beyond Solution BB cream sachet? I got to use one sachet for three days! It was super economic and long lasting. :)

Personally, I love the "Cinderella" carriage inspired design of the foil sachet (it's Lioele's logo!) It's so adorable! :) According to Lioele's website, the unique thing about this BB cream is its incorporation of yogurt powder and hyaluronic acid to its formulation. These two active ingredients help nourish the skin and retains moisture and suppleness of the skin. The best thing I noticed about this BB cream is its skin tone adjusting properties. If you've tried BB creams from other brands then you would know how BB creams are often equal to a white cast. Lioele's BB cream however was very compatible to my skin tone even if not "asian" fair.

Besides BB cream, I also got to try Lioele's Real Vivid Matte Lipstick*. I really love the box packaging of this lipstick because of its old school Hollywood glamour. It's superstardom in a box, for Php595 (approx $15), that's such a great deal!
The shade I got to try was shade no.3, Peach.

From the bullet, Lioele's Real Vivid Matte Lipstick no.3 / Peach is too "pumpkin orange" but upon swatching it, it's actually a nice bright peach lip color that can effectively mute down an overpowering eye make-up or even bring a youthful vibe to an otherwise plain Jane look. What I love the most about the lipstick is its formulation. I am a fan of matte lipstick but I just hate how some matte lipsticks fill up the lines of our lips. Real Vivid Matte Lipstick didn't do that at all! The only thing I have to say about this product is it's love through and through. I don't hate a single thing about this lipstick!

I love the color because it's bordering nude and bright. Notice how the peachy color is complementing my skin tone while also commanding attention? It's truly fascinating. This matte lipstick is also magical in a sense because of all matte lipsticks I've tried, Lioele's Real Vivid Matte Lipstick is the only matte lipstick that didn't dry my easily dried lips. If you're to first try Lioele, I would definitely vouch for their Real Vivid Matte Lipstick range. The lipstick offer a punch of color, creaminess and glamour in one smooth glide.

Last but not the least, I also got to try Lioele's Jewel Cheek and Highlighter* Php1,960 (approx $47). As you all should know by now, I'm on a highlighting powder phase and you can't expect me to ignore Lioele's prizes Jewel.
Lioele has a very classic yet femininely romantic packaging style.

Jewel is a cheek blusher and highlighting powder in one. Read more from the box in the photo below.

Before I start talking about this amazing powder set, let me share with you pictures...

As mentioned, Lioele Jewel has a compact highlighting powder that to most would be a pleasant surprise--it's a rainbow of colors! The Jewel highlighter is in multi-colored hexagons that are formulated and designed to capture and reflect light. To those who are curious to what a highlighting powder is for, well, pretty much, highlighting the high points of the face such as the nose line, the apples on the cheeks and the chin, gives a nice three-dimensional emphasis to our facial assets. Highlighting the face also makes it look less flat, more radiant and also with less imperfections. Imagine hiding your fine lines with the power of glowing skin. Yes, that's the science behind Lioele Jewel.

To match the compact highlighting powder is the ball-shaped pink pearls that comprise Lioele Jewel's cheek blusher. This blusher is overflowing with cuteness, if you ask me! I swatched the blusher per pearls for your meticulous comparison. This blusher also acts like a highlighting powder but with a pinker undertone.

The myriad of pinks from the blusher helps create an iridescent blush that's unique to an enchanting affair. I love the lavender pearls don't leave an overshadowing white cast against the pink pearls; instead each pearls complement each other and combine ethereally. The sponge and the dense fan brush that comes with Jewel are also worth a mention because they're noticeably made of top quality material and design. If you're looking at trying a make-up that could easily transform a basic make-up to a ball gown worthy aesthetic, Lioele Jewel is your pot of gold.

What I love the most about Jewel is its dual personality. It's a highlighting powder and a blusher in one tub--definitely something worth taking to a trip around the world. The only con would be the limited shade offering for Jewel. Not everyone can wear iridescent pink so that could be a concern for some.

How about you? Have you tried anything from Lioele?
