HAUL: Oh Hauling Week [WAS TRIGGER HAPPY]

I love buying things. Often, I buy out of impulse and rarely do I buy out of necessity since I try not to need so much stuff, which is ironic because I end up allowing myself to want stuff. Anyway, don't forget to follow me on Instagram, I'm @kumikomae and read after the jump!

If you're from the Philippines, one way or the other, you should've encountered this term by now: "Japan-Japan."

I'd love to think that Filipinos generally refer to the varied Japanese supplies stores as "Japan-Japan," as I fondly do. So last week I bought these super cute false eyelashes and falsies organizer. What do you think? These are all Php 88 each (approximately $2).

After Japan-Japan ^_^ I went to Cup a Chino to hang out with A. I really like Cup a Chino drinks although I'm sad to say that the only worthwhile food I can vouch for from their menu is the signature pasta (photo below). Which brings me... they have the BEST garlic bread ever. They should sell garlic bread too!

The rest of their food--and I have tried quite a few already--are BLEH. I'm sad about it. The display on their ref thingy isn't also very appealing--and that's a lot coming from someone who LOVES dessert! huhu I hope they improve. I also hope they improve their coffee jelly. The best coffee jelly I have tried is Figaro's. Their coffee jellies are like shots of sweet espresso in jell-o format.

So generally, last week was eventful in a sense that so many things needed to be done! A few spilled over this week too! I'm surprised I get to sneak a blog here and there. Thank goodness for my urgency to create drafts (especially for picture heavy posts).

In the spirit of hauling, I also did two small drugstore hauls last Sunday-Monday because I slept over a's house. I had to buy facial wash but ended up buying nail polish too! I also stopped by Pinkbox to check out their amazing ribbon accessories and I have to say, they didn't disappoint at all! Just check out the pictures of my hauls below.

Purchased from PinkBox Watsons Podium.

I just love this butterfly tin case. I always carry extra hair ties and this key chain case just made it easier and cuter for me to be ready with my hair story.

Oh, how I never leave PinkBox without a hair clip! I love their hair clips! I love these baby pastel blue and pink colored ones but I just LOVE the clips from their Chic collection! I think I have all their ribbon clips from this classic range. For a change, I also got me a floral pair. It's so elegant yet very functional!

PinkBox is pretty much a kiddie accessory store at first glance but with their Chic collection, you can never go wrong at whatever age! (I am such a huge fan. I can't get enough and if I have more, I can definitely imagine talking about each piece here).
Here's a very messy but simple example of how I use my flower cliplets to create a house-friendly nonchalant vibe updo.

Also from the Chic collection is this lovely bedazzling hair piece. It's so cute and perfect for a regular day or a party event!

The red headbands I bought to match my red hair. :p

As mentioned, I bought above items from Watsons Podium. Who would've thought few days after, I'd find myself at Watsons MegaMall  (for my facial wash sleepover needs) where of course there's PinkBox! I couldn't help it! I got me a pair of hair clips because you can never go wrong with a classic black one! (PS. Having an iPhone 4S makes blogging SUPER convenient! When I don't have my trusted Olympus Pen around, I just rely on my iPhone for "blog" photos.)

Check out my new favorite hair clip! I love the quirky ribbon detail!

I also visited PinkBox MegaMall branch and got these amazing hair pieces. So apt to match my LovingSunshine brand!

A also got me this crown! I've long wanted to own one!

Besides hair, I got polishes too! Below is Gray's Anatomy (which I would feature in comparison to a nail polish I would be sharing below too!)

Besides Grays Anatomy (Gray??? Like Fifty Shades of Grey??!), I also got me some polishes from Mercury Drug! I was at Shangrila for a meeting hoping I can have frozen yogurt beforehand but the mall opens at 11AM!? I had nothing to do so I enjoyed Mercury Drug the best I can--through drugstore polishes! I found some gems!

These Careline polishes are only Php 10 each!!! That's not even a dollar!

I also satisfied my purply wants. Got very excited to find out Bobbie has crackle polishes now!
I'm a sucker for purple polish!

And of course... the gems!

This is Amethyst, as featured here.

With all those drugstore polishes, I feel finally inspired to answer a post where I've been tagged at (special mention type!) If you're a nail polish luvvin person, I would be more than happy to read your take on the questionnaire below! Just answer, have fun, share and let me know through a link comment so I don't miss out! Here goes...

 1. How many polishes do you have?
Will update tonight... need to recount after all those polishes. 130! :D

2. What is your favorite brand of nail polish?
I suppose for sentimental reasons, I can say that Essence is my favorite brand of nail polish. These babies are not available in the Philippines. I got these from my sweetheart.

3. Do you like crackle polish or do you have it?
I have quite a few crackle polish and I'm not a huge fan. As shared above, you should've noticed I bought another crackle polish, but not really out of preference. Just novelty. I can't make crackle polish work for me :( When I put top coat on my crackled nails... even the top coat cracks! Any tips on this?

4. What is the brand of your first nail polish?
Ironic, because my first nail polish is a Maybelline one... but we no longer have Maybelline polishes here! How I wish we still do :(

5. If you're going to have a nail polish line, what would you name it?
I'll name it Sun Dials for the love my LovingSunshine brand and as a pun, since fingers are our dials. Is it witty?? I just thought about it as I'm answering now! :p

6. What nail polish does not compliment you?
Neon.

7. What nail polish compliments you?
Purple pastels! :D Dark violet hues also make my nails/hand look fairer.

8. Name two of your nail-art best friends.
My Orogold nail buffer and a fan brush.

9. Name the best nail polish gift you've ever received.
The Essence set I shared above. Again, sentimental reasons.

10. Make a speech thanking the blogger who gave you this tag.
Hello Aya! Thanks for the special mention tag. I am no nail polish person really, I just love colors so any medium to play with it is welcome to my world. I just started posting NOTDs and I often feel like I'm doing it wrong--so THANK YOU for sharing you enjoy my NOTDs. You made me feel like I'm making sense! :p
