Overcome stress in 5 steps

Hello Sunshine, are you feeling stressed out lately? I have been, so today I want to share with you a few tips on how to get over your stress. Hope this helps you, and if you have your own stress-busting secrets, don't be shy and do share in the comments.

1. Listen to relaxing music.

I always find listening to relaxing music helps big time. Here's a song to get you started.

2. Do something artsy.

Art is all about expressing yourself so when you're feeling stressed out, go do something that will help you flush out the emotions, or stress. I reach for my trusted pen and paper when I'm stressed. But if writing isn't your thing, that's no problem. Choose your art and let it be a medium for you to detoxify.

3. Surround yourself with positive people.

I can't underestimate the importance of surrounding yourself with positive people, be it your family or friends. I believe that we absorb what is around us, and that includes the people we choose to be with. Positive people are great to stress-busters because their happiness can affect you, thus help lift your spirits and perhaps leave you feeling a little happy too!

4. Go to the spa.

It doesn't have to be a full-blown spa experience... but if you can, why not?! Going to the spa is my favorite stress-buster, because it gives me a holistic approach to reducing stress. My favorite thing to do is go get a foot spa. I love getting foot massages, and perhaps, my ideal partner would be someone who loves giving foot rubs! Foot massages are also no-brainer treatments that leave me feeling more relaxed, while also tickling my pedicure fancies!

5. Go to sleep.

Nothing beats getting a good night's sleep. It helps refresh your mind, while also giving you the rest you most need if you're stressing out.
