Hello Sunshine! Today I want to share with you my thoughts on Neil Gaiman's new novel, The Ocean at the End of the Lane.

To people who are sensitive over the broad concept of remembering (a memory), The Ocean at the End of the Lane would most likely hit home, like it did mine. Home so far, so close to the core. I remember my favorite film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and how it described memories to have a core that which holds a memory together, and without enables a memory to be removed. The Ocean at the End of the Lane is similar. It is a sincere narration of how one memory of the same thing replays differently in different heads, illogical and sometimes arresting, like a question mark at the end of a dreary exam: open-ended and a fail-safe beacon of hope for consideration or escape.

Monsters are Always scared that's why they're monsters

Oceans, cats, full moons, and monsters. The Ocean at the End of the Lane is a story that would enter your mind and keep warm a small corner of imaginings in your head. It reminds me of what it's like to see be mistaken in seeing the real world for the first time, with child eyes, silver against the night.
