How you can decorate your home affordably

Hello Sunshine! I have quite an April Fool's! I woke up to the fire alarm of our building ringing!!! Such a bad joke! False alarm, thank goodness. But oh Lord, was I pushed to a panic! I'm definitely filing this under "home stories" lol
After moving out, one thing I can no longer deny is the value of your home. The home is an investment. I truly felt it today, because I worked so hard to make my unit feel like home.

Anyone maintaining their own place would agree that making the inside and outside of the home look great is inevitable--well that is if you would care enough to go through the process. It's a go big or go home kind of thing. If you do decide to make your home look great, it will at some point become top priority.

If you have your own house, then you should know that decorating it isn't just vanity. It also helps improve the value of your property.  The outside of a home is especially important because it's what people see first. Remember that house you can't resist because you fell in love with the garden or the fence or the pathway... yeah, that feeling.

Maintaining the exterior of your home can be as simple as maintaining your lawn, which these days come so easy, even teenagers can do it. The tools are even made more affordable and accessible too!

On the other hand, decorating inside your house, which honestly is my favorite part, is the best. You can really throw in your personality into your place when you decorate your home. Some people don't bother because they think it's a waste of money, or that interior designing is a waste of money, but for me, it's really one of the best parts of having your own place. For the cost hesitations, there are Pier1 coupons on Groupon that can help you get started.

If you're really not ready for a purchase, you can start by moving furniture around! I did that last February, and it really helped improve the flow in my unit. Let more light come in, adjust your furniture to work with how you normally move about, and of course, embrace your weirdness and let at least one personal item take the spotlight. Not only will that accent be a conversation starter, you'd also feel that your space is your space immediately after!
