Berries, Beans and Bingo: a five-point guide to healthy skin

Hello Sunshine! If there's one thing I'm most proud of, it's my skin. It's not the most perfect, but I don't have a lot of concerns to worry about. I know a lot of people who worry about acne, flakiness, etc; and I... I just don't. Of course, I have my occasional worries like my skin isn't glowing, but it's nothing I don't get to correct with a few simple steps.

Be it stress or the lack of an effective skincare regimen, almost anything can lead to unhealthy ski. And you sitting in front of the mirror desperately trying to stop yourself from popping yet another zit, let's just not go there. So today, I want to share a little bit of sunshine for those of you who are worrying about their skin. Here is a five point guide to healthy skin with everything you need to know to get started. Follow this up and watch as your skin glow.

Get some beauty sleep

“But… How do I look fresh?” is a question I get asked way too much. The only way to look fresh is to FEEL fresh. Get some sleep. Seven to eight hours a day is highly recommended.

Oh, so you travel a lot? Yeah, I perfectly understand how that takes a toll on your skin. So do what I do. Always have an eye mask so in transit, you can catch some Zzz's!

With improved circulation and low stress, exercise is heaven for all those who want to look and feel healthy and beautiful. Just make sure you never exercise with makeup on, it clogs pores which can lead to acne.

Follow skin care a regimen

Use a cleanser, exfoliate twice a week, massage in some moisturizer and always remember to take that bottle of sunscreen with you. A skin care routine goes a long way in making you fall in love with your skin all over again.

Stress leads to a million problems which I can happily list, but why make this list boring? Anyway, one of those problems is unhealthy skin. De-stress yourself by doing what you love, having fun or just chillin’ playing a game of bingo. Want to see what I am talking about? Check for more info.

Eat healthy

A healthy diet has a host of proven benefits and glowing skin is just one of them. The next time you go grocery shopping, grab yourself some beets, squash, peppers, beans, berries and anything citrusy.
