TURNBACKTUESDAY#27 Are you a 90's kid?

TurnbackTuesday is a section of LovingSunshine.com dedicated to personal thoughts and other stories of inspiration, love and life that I share with you every week. TurnbackTuesday is scheduled on Tuesdays, 11:30AM PH time.

Hello Sunshine! Are you a 90's kid? Because I am. I am among the generation who witnessed the transition between gameboys to PSPs. I am among the generation in-between payphones and cellular gadgets. I can still remember having a PLDT call card in hand, all the time. Now, payphones just seem so obsolete.

I grew up in a humble household. At the time Sony first released a Play Station console, we didn’t get to have one immediately. We eventually did, and boy did I do a lot of Dance Dance Revolution and Harvest Moon during my free time. My favorite game was also Monster Rancher and of course Street Fighter. But you know me. I’m girly-girl at its most annoying best. The rest of the comics gang, I only really got to know through games.

X-Men is among those. I was and still am not a comic-fan. First, they’re expensive, and second, I would find it frustrating to not have the entire collection in one go! Part of the thrill, I know, but it’s just not for me. But up my alley is Wolverine. A bad-ass rebel character that I can’t ever forget, who can ever forget those abs? Damn Hugh Jackman.

”The Wolverine” latest trailer reveals Logan aka Wolverine (played by Hugh Jackman) at his most vulnerable struggling with his immortality. Caught in a web of conflict, as Wolverine develops  alliances  he also faces a host of dangerous new enemies revealing a stronger, multi-dimensional character. Set in Japan where an integral part of Wolverine’s history lies, “The Wolverine” is a stand-alone epic-action adventure where he will emerge more powerful than ever before, leaving him forever changed.

So I’m very happy to find out that another X-Men movie will be out, and this time it’s all about the yummiest of them all! I’m sure so many of us girls, 90’s kid or not, would make sure to watch this adaptation once it hits the silver screen on July 25 (PH).

“The Wolverine” also stars Tao Okamoto, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Rila Fukushima, Hiroyuki Sanada, Will Yun Lee and Brian Tee, directed by James Mangold and scripted by Mark Bomback and Christopher McQuarrie.

Laters, baby!
