SKINCARE: How to care for Combination Skin

Blogging about beauty and the things I love grants me more opportunities to experience beauty and do the things I love, so when I was given a chance to embark on a Celeteque Dermoscience skincare adventure, I was all hands on deck. I'm no stranger to Celeteque as I have used it since my puberty, but I have to admit, I haven't been on a Celeteque rampage lately. The last time I used Celeteque was last July when I needed to have toiletries fit for travel and sleep-overs and the best travel kit I saw at Watsons was, well, from Celeteque.

So I took a test from Celeteque Dermoscience Skin Analyzer and got my skincare test results in a jiffy. By the way, if you haven't yet, you definitely should check out the page. Whether or not you follow the analyzer's skincare diagnosis/product recommendations, it's important to know deeper about your skin's personality so you can better make choices about the products you use on it. Of course this post is about how I will follow my result's recommendation from top to bottom. Here's my analyzer's results.
I have a very typical skincare type--that is combination dry-oily skin. My skin is mostly dry but has an erratic oily T-zone to which the analyzer perfected with a thorough skincare regimen. It even has product suggestions for my spot-problems, which are rare I must admit, but an occurring problem nonetheless.

At first I was intimidated by my skincare regimen because I figured, whoa that's a lot of product; but I then I went off and lined up my existing skincare regimen and saw how I have been using a mixture of skincare items that is tantamount to my Dermoscience system*. At the end of the day, I got very excited to embark on the all-Celeteque all-Dermoscience skincare regimen because if there's anything I'm expecting from Celeteque, it's the best, and I'm sure I can see the best of the best results if I stick with a brand's range.

A Dermoscience skincare regimen basically has four steps: cleanse, tone, moisturize and treat. For cleansing, I have the Hydration Facial Wash and the Hydration Gentle Exfoliating Wash. Basically, I just have to use both facial cleansers in rotation with the latter being used every other day. The Hydration Facial Wash is a gentle everyday cleanser that lifts off the dirt, oil and sebum from the skin without stripping the skin off its natural moisture; while, the Hydration Gentle Exfoliating Wash is a gentle skin exfoliant with a similar consistency with the wash, only that it has spherical vitamin-enriched beads that bursts unto the skin when massaged while washing thus nourishing the skin while gentle removing the dull skin cells.

Most notable about both washes is its lack of foaming action. If you love foamy cleanser, you might be put off by how foam-free both Celeteque washes are; but like every Celeteque user knows, the foam is not important in cleansing. As a matter of fact, less foam means a more gentle formulation. Both cleansers has NSF or a natural moisturizing factor that hydrates the skin per wash. Both cleansers are also non-comodegenic (doesn't clog pores), hypo-allergenic (won't cause allergic reactions) and fragrance-free (something I absolutely love about Celeteque).

Aside from regular cleansers, I also got to spin the makeup remover wipes by Celeteque AND WOW they are the best! :) They really help cleansing the face after a tiring day more bearable! I can't imagine not having these wipes in my vanity anymore. :)

Next to the cleansers, I have my Toner. I was given a dermatologist-tested Oil Control Toner as a preventive measure to those spot problems. My Oil Control Toner was clear so that pleased me because that's one less chemical, artificial coloring , to worry about. My toner also has Aloe Vera and Chamomile extracts that soothes the skin. It also has Witch Hazel extract which is very popular in healing minor and major breakouts.

So far so good, I dont get breakouts and I feel like the oiliness on my T-zone is controlled dramatically thanks to my toner. After the toner is my favorite part, moisturizing. I was given a Hydration Facial Moisturizer with Triple Moisturizing Systems that matched my two facial cleansers. I am over the roof for this moisturizer! It's very light and refreshing to use! I am in LOVE with it actually. If you're the type who doesn't like slathering on any moisturizing anything on your skin, this moisturizer would change the way you see moisturizers. It's a light gel-type product that feels like water on the skin. It's also sting-free and fragrance-free, which again, I am all hands on deck for.

I've been using the Celeteque Facial Moisturizer both in the mornings and at night, and it has been such a treat! I love how it leaves my skin feeling refreshed instead of leaving my face feeling heavily decked with skincare (cause I do put A LOT!) To be honest, I haven't had much use of the face mist but I've tried it one time when I had to stay up late and it worked better than coffee in keeping me up! :)

Now comes my favorite part of my new skincare regimen, the little stuff!

I'm huge on eye creams! Like crazy over eye creams! I'm kinda hoping to try the anti-aging line from Celeteque after using the products I got to try--all because I LOVE using anti-aging products (especially for the eye area). I love how creamy the Brightening Eye Treatment I received. It was the right consistency for the eye area, and it is absorbed quite well. There are a few times when it reacts wrongly with my undereye concealer, but after a few weeks of using the product, I don't seem to need concealer anymore, yey!

The Brightening Dark Spot Corrector, I'm still testing out right now. I have seen improvements with my scar but we'll see. The Acne Solutions Spot Corrector on the other hand is a huge hit. When I started with my Dermoscience regimen last September, I had a pimple hidden on my brows, but the spot corrector dried it up so fast! I recommend this to anyone experiencing breakouts!

All in all, the Celeteque Dermoscience regimen is a huge hit for me. I know it's a lot, and maybe some are also intimidated, but I've been following this regimen for more than a month now and I am very very very very happy with it.

How about you? What's your skincare regimen like?
