REVIEW: Shiseido Perfect Refining Foundation

Living in Asia, you have to understand that I live and breathe the BB cream craze. Unlike my friends from other parts of the world, I've witnessed BB cream in its many forms (cream, liquid, powder, balm). However, great as BB creams may be, there's something phenomenal about an amazing liquid foundation. Liquid foundations are essential to any vanity desk. If you ask me, I like liquid foundations more than BB creams. Liquid foundations are lighter and are less oily at the end of the day. On top of that, liquid foundations offer a more natural finish (while BB cream usually results to super perfect porcelain skin which isn't as suitable to my natural skin-tone).

With that, let me give a shout out to my favorite liquid foundation, Shiseido's Perfect Refining Foundation

The Shiseido Perfect Refining Foundation offers the most natural finish I've ever seen from a liquid foundation. What's so great about it is it offers an "improved" natural finish. It's the epitome of you only better. The foundation has a great range of tones to match different colors too--so that resolves my frustration with BB creams which are limited in lesser fair shades.

If you're looking for a worry-free foundation, this definitely hits the right spot. As suggested by the name, this foundation helps refine lines to result to a smoother complexion; it also has buildable coverage so your skin is made more even; and it has SPF 15 (a feature of BB creams that is a huge reason why I can't resist them even if they tend to be a mismatch to my skintone).

So gone are the days that I settle with a lighter shade for my make-up foundation. I've found the perfect one for me. Its non-comodegenic (meaning, it doesn't clog pores) and dermatologist-tested formula meets my every whim. It boasts a 15-hour long lasting-power too so I'm definitely sold on this Liquid foundation. How about you?

Locally, you may visit Shiseido branches at select Rustans outlets and Ayala Malls. Peepz from the South, the Shiseido branch is outside Rustans, right beside VMV. :D

  1. This is interesting and quite tempting but I always hate to buy products that are a bit high on the price point if I'm only using them on myself. So I stick to my Revlon--even if it's a bit off on the color so I have to mix to get the right shade. >.> I will check it out at a counter nevertheless... :D
