My ZALORA Wishlist

Someday, I will look at today with a smile and tell myself, Damn, that started it all. Let me share with you my first Michael Kors bag. I've always wanted to have a Michael Kors anything because the brand name features my initials (and because I like their designs)! And now I actually own one. I'm still getting around using it because it's too expensive I feel eternally afraid I would stain or break it; but I think it's part of the experience.

This is the second most expensive thing I own. The first one is my camera, which is an Olympus Pen which I bought with my own money (wow, just realizing how expensive my camera is! HAHA and all I do is use it to take pictures of my make-up--most of which are affordable make-ups because I don't want to post about make-up that my readers can't afford, how ironic!? LOL). I guess the third most expensive thing I own is my laptop, which is subsidized by our company, but still something I paid for on my own! :) I feel proud... and funny. I can't believe my bag is more expensive than my laptop! LOL

Anyway this bag is a very important piece because it's like an heirloom already because it wasn't bought for me, so it's not a gift. It really was originally supposed to be a bag my mom bought for herself but she didn't really use it; hence my shots where it's still sealed and all, and she decided to give it to her poor daughter whose bag is already ruined. To those who don't know, my "ex" is made of synthetic vegan leather... nice, a bit expensive ($100 worth but really not durable! I just got it this March 2012 month-end but by April it's completely ruined!!! Talk about not worth it.).

Because I over analyze and in the spirit of my honesty, let me share partial reasons why the bag was given to me too. Partial reason #1 my ex bag was messed up! And It's a shame to be seen with my synthetic vegan leather bag--no matter how I justify that it's cruelty-free! Partial reason #2 my mom got annoyed seeing me with my bag haha. Partial reason #3 my mom loves me Partial reason #4 my mom wants to buy a new Michael Kors bag LOL From the new collection! Partial reason #5 I'm deserving!

At first I have to say I wasn't a fan but after ripping off the protective paper and plastic seals of the bag (like a boss, mind you) I fell in love. I really love the chain detail! I think animal print anything can add numbers to ones age... but chains can definitely turn anything to "rock chic".

Because yesterday, I was like most people, completely "luxury bag"-free, let me share with you the experience of knowing what's inside a Michael Kors bag. Notice the details and the exceptional stitching of the bag. I can attest to how the leather feels really nice and how the lining and the details are perfectly placed.

What to expect inside? An info card. Since my bag now is not animal cruelty-free hehe, it's made with genuine leather, it pays to know what you're dealing with. I snapped the card for you and for future reference. Notice how the paper cushioning of my bag was also signatured! Again, luxury brands pay attention to detail!

Speaking of detail, my favorite thing about the bag is its metallic side. I love the dumbbell like details on the handles! I think they're cute.

All in all, I really like my bag. It has a tote bag handle and a leather sling so I can also just wear it on my shoulder. It's relatively small because I'm the kind of person who always carried her house around, but it's very special to me and I feel a bit sentimental about owning this bag. Maybe this bag would train me to walk, sit and talk with grace. Takot ko lang masira. hehe

Of course, with a great bag should be great shoes!

Now I just have to clarify one thing... I'm not rich! If I were rich, I shouldn't be taking tabs over what's the most expensive thing I own, or bought. If I were rich, owning a Michael Kors bag should be ordinary to me. So yes, I'm not rich. We work hard for these not-so-simple life pleasures; but these pleasures are limited. The limit-factor adds value to each acquisition, sure, but because it's limited it pays to humble down a little on other areas.

By other areas, I mean shoes. How can one talk about bags and skip shoes? They go hand in hand! And because I'm now on a budget I'm staying away the Luisas of the web and am going for a more practical online store option, cue in Zalora.com.ph (not that I bought my bag, but you know, knowing I have something that pricey makes me want to behave for a few weeks? hehe).

The website is relatively new but it's amazing how many great finds you can score from their store! They offer the usual quality services one would want from a website: free shipping, decent prices, detailed product information, wide selection, user-friendly navigation, multiple trusted payment options and reasonable frankly, generous product return policy. To know more, click on the image or this link http://www.zalora.com.ph/ When you do, don't forget to sign up! Sign up for their newsletter and claim a free P250 voucher! :D See, great swag plus exclusive promos like that make a great webstore!

In the spirit of window shopping, I listed down five products I would like to buy from them. Because I have a P250 voucher, I think checkout will not be a far cry! I can't let that voucher pass me by! I'm a sucker for great deals!

And oh my golly, I visited their shoe collection and completely fell in love with amazing, classy, sophisticated yet affordable pumps! Only one item from my wish list falls under the "pricey" tab; but heck, it's stunning! I think it's worth every buck!

Hey, since you're reading my blog, why don't you help me decide? I'll share with you why each item made it to my wish list and you comment which I should buy! Choose one only!

I love Wade. I think my first ever pumps was from Wade and I just adore how their shoes fit. I like this brown shoe because of its details. I love how the leather has cut details by the ankle. I also love how the heels was not overlooked. The platform heels has such a sophisticated detail. It's also very affordable! Only P1,449 upon application of my P250 voucher. What do you think? Please let me know by commenting below,

I love the color of this pumps! It's very casual chic. I can't really tell, but it looks like it has mixed leather and suede material. I love suede shoes! If not suede, I just love how the stitching adds character to this gray pumps. Gray can be such a dull color, but this heeled pumps is anything but dull! It's perfect for work and for presentations and for partying! It would only be P2,149 upon application of my P250 voucher. What do you think? Please let me know by commenting below.

I have not heard of the Urbaine brand before so I'm very thankful I found about them through Zalora! See, that's the great thing about checking online webstores. They often expand your horizon! I live far (I'm now residing in a province! #_#) so it's really difficult for me to keep myself updated with my favorite brand's trends (I grew up a city girl mind you). So yes, anything that ships free nationwide is very much welcome to my world! I know if you're also someone living far from the busy metro, you totally understand what I feel! Oh, especially if you grew up in the city! The city life is definitely miss-able! And wow, websites like Zalora makes home feel closer. These Urbaine shoes, are so pretty and delicate and I could totally rock this with a dress or something. It would only be P1,550 upon application of my P250 voucher. What do you think? Please let me know by commenting below.

Like Urbaine, it's my first time hear about Kelsi Dagger shoes! But wow! I love this find! I love flowers, obviously, and I love how this strappy sandals can be very pleasant to look at! I think it can make any foot shape look sexy and date-worthy. I'll be going on dates this July... so it would really be great if I'd be wearing a pair of Kelsi Dagger shoes while I'm at it! It's just so pretty and the color's perfect! Ugh, my heart's aching at the thought of not owning this pair. It's a bit pricey but with my P250 voucher is would be discounted to P9,808.13. What do you think? Frankly, I don't understand the 13 cents! :D But would appreciate if you could share with me what you think by commenting below.

This is the third, yes third brand, Zalora introduced to me. Forgive my ignorance if these brands are the in thing in Manila, like I said I now live in the province (For those who are curious, I'm not living in a super province area LOL Mega Manila still... but even if Manila's just a drive away, it's still so far! So yes, I love shopping online! I think I would really love Zalora because of its free shipping program the most!) Anyway, this stiletto is very edgy but it also has a soft and approachable appeal because it's made with white leather. I love white shoes. I think the cuts of this stiletto can make my feet look leaner too. It's reasonably priced too. It would only be P3,275 upon application of my P250 voucher. What do you think? Comment please!

Ahh, that was fun. I have to say, there were so much more shoes I would like to include in this wish list but I had to limit it to five. It was so much fun browsing Zalora and their collections are super at par to my taste and with my luxury bag, at the fraction of a price! Quality convenient shopping at its best! LOVE IT!

More than sharing with you my haul, I think I really enjoyed planning hauls with you! Please let me know what you think of my wishlist and if you have any ideas which I should buy, please comment!

Don't forget, visit Zalora and claim your P250 voucher! Enjoy shopping!

Think bright. Smile a lot. :)

  1. I too cant decide. Such wonderful shoes! But then items 1 and 5 looked the sexiest for me. I was like looking and I started thinking of good clothes that can go with them. Even maybe the simplest shirt and jeans will look so edgy with those.

  3. Hi there! First of all, I am drooling over your bag right now..It's gorgeous! I have also been wanting to have something from Michael Kors - the rose gold watch that I have been seeing all over youtube and other fashion blogs. Owning a luxury piece of accessory really makes you feel all grown up, doesn't it? Anyways..(getting off topic, sorry) As for the shoes, everything you picked out were awesome, and, being the fickle-minded girl that I am, I found it hard to choose one. The most stand out piece for me would have to be Item no. 3 - the Urbaine shoes. First of all, it's a beautiful blush-y nude color which will definitely help create the illusion of longer, more slender legs. Second, it can go with anything! You can pair it with absolutely any color dress for your evening wear, and dress it down with some dark wash skinnies or shorts and some casual top during the day, and you would still look effortlessly put together! I really think a nude pair of pumps is a must have for any girl's closet. And, last but not the least, the price is pretty sweet! With the 250 peso voucher from Zalora, it is even more affordable. It looks well-made so for its price, I think you can't go wrong with that pair.
Well, that is just my opinion, it still is up to you of course, kung anong pair ang "nakapagpatibok sa puso mo" cheese. haha! But still, I hope my feedback helps you decide which one you want. Pwede rin naman one pair now, next paycheck naman yung iba! haha! Good luck and have fun shoe-shopping! :)

  5. I can't really just choose one pair. My decision is a tie between wade and gibi. I'm a fan of plain closed shoes which have little but intricate details on them. I didn't go for the Urbaine pair because I think it's common. Gibi and Wade, I think, are unique, stylish, and cute..:)

    1. I guess the simplicity of the Urbaine pair makes it a hit and a miss huh? Sige, I'll note your two votes. Kunwari you voted in behalf of your ate too hihi

  6. Here's what I think. I couldn't really choose just one pair so I've decided to go with either Wade or Gibi. I'm a fan of simple closed shoes with small intricate details on them. I didn't go for the Urbaine because I think it's common. Both Gibi and Wade, on the other hand, are simple, unique, and cute.:)

  7. Hi Kumi! Thanks for your comment on my blog. And seriously, I LOVE that bag. You are so lucky! I don't even want to think about how much it costs.

For me I think you should go for the Urbaine shoes. Gorgeous! I'm gonna shop now and spend all my money. HA!

  8. Woooowww! I'm not into buying pricey bags, but I think that one's dazzling!

Regarding the shoes, I think you should go for the third one. It's great for anything--be it a day out with friends at the mall, a typical work day, or a party with the girls! Maybe it's just me and my inclination towards light, peachy colors, but I really think it's gorgeous! It fits your sunny personality, as well, that you don't have to wear it with just a dress. You can wear it with anything because it screams Y-O-U! What's more... it's not that expensive!

In the end, it's still gonna be your decision, though. All of these shoes look good on you, anyway, since your confident shines through! :)

  16. Definitely love the bag!! Question: is it heavy before you put stuff in it? I ask because last time I looked at MK bags in store (that would be last year's fall collection), I found them to be heavy due to the metal chains. I almost bought one as it was on sale but I just found it to be too heavy while empty.

    1. No it's not heavy :D Really nice. I wish it were bigger though!

  20. Why is Dragger so much more than Brasil? I like Dragger... I scratch my head.

I have to say something about "vegan leather" that really means petroleum based products, "pleather" is what its called in the US. Don't buy that, its garbage and bad for the environment. Real leather is better. Hope that helps in your shopping dilemmas.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yeah vegan leather is really garbage. gah. I try to minimize real leather items just the same as I'd always try to avoid real fur (animal rights thing) but really, unReal leather is crap!

So i guess i have to choose between good for environment or good for animals. :D

  23. Holy crap...that bag is to die for!!! It's soooo gorgeous!!! Drooling over here...

As far as the shoes go, my choice is either #1 or #5... leaning more towards the latter. It's more fun looking than the former which looks more professional/polished. But both can be used for casual and formal events...so either way you go is fine methinks :)
