My favorite color is green, that has remained the same since I was 13 years old (a decade ago!) Now, usually people have a certain type of green that they like. Or a certain type of pink, blue, red... But me, I like all sorts of green. Especially the weird ones! Here's the picture heaviest notd for the month. I just love this polish. I found myself calling my mani "booger nails" while wearing this very odd green shade.

Booger nails? You be the judge. Enjoy!

How did I spend National Heroes Day? I spent it resting in my room--getting all the rest I can get--and changing my polish! I was initially wearing a very mermaid-worthy color combination when I started reaching out to darker hues, just to give them a shot. Then I realized... it's been ages since I last wore black polish! So I rummaged through my nail polish basket only to realize I don't really have a black polish except for this Ever Bilena color craze polish in black. Check out my swatches below. Note: I'm not wearing top coat.

Hello everyone! Creating a visual board is very helpful in realizing goals. But for added convenience, I will simply just list down a wishlist so I will always keep track of things that I am working hard on deserving. I don't know if this list would help my future swapmates--some items I'm sure to put here would be expensive-but as a reference to gauge my preference, I'm sure this wishlist would be helpful? Anyhoo, this list is for my own benefit because "visual boards" always help me achieve my goals. If it helps anyone get to know me, or if this works like a birthday register LOL why not? I just believe and based on experience, noticed that keeping track of my successes is a great way for me to attract more success!

I will be listing things and slashing things off as soon as I acquire them. Some items may also be hard to find so if you know where I can find any of the items below, PLEASE be so kind and let me know where I can find the products. I'll begin with ten items and just add and hopefully subtract as I go. I'll also list by product category. I'll try my best to have a link for everything--and will make sure to find the best links with best deals out there.

I've had this photo for my monthly empties a few weeks earlier than today but I got lost from the vibe that I only got to upload the emptied products of July that pushed strong until the first few days of August. Without further delay, here's more than ten emptied products that got me going. *successful feeling*

I am a fan of The Hunger Games so when my lovely friend Joann of JellyKiss.com shared with me that I would be receiving a Hunger Games related surprised through mail, you betcha I couldn't contain my happiness. She gave me two Hunger Games polishes. One of the two is Riveting, a very bright red orange with a golden yellow glitter.

After not one (Nicole Sounds Grape to Me), not two (Nicole Sounds Grape to Me under Kleancolor's Chunky Holo Scarlet), not three (Ever Bilena Black under Milani Jewel in Gold), but four (Borghese in Stellar Notte) nail polish executions, I finally found the one I would stick with, for today at least.

I'm not feeling well but am feeling better today. It also doesn't hurt that fate played a very crucial role in how I chose my uplifting nail color today. See when I'm not feeling well, I like seeing sudden pops of color--and the very process of painting--so changing my nail polish today just seemed apt.

Unfortunately, I had such a struggle. Every time I would finish painting my nails I would look at what I did and feel unsatisfied. No joke, I painted and removed my polish about four times before I enjoyed the outcome of my hard labor. Fun to note, while I was rummaging my nail polish basket, this tiny bottle of Essence nail polish spoke to me. It was one of my unused polishes and its name is Choose Me.

When I first heard of Sanctus* by Simon Toyne, I knew I am going to be predisposed to liking its storyline because I love conspiracy novels like its always going to be revelation day each page. After finishing the book, which went by like a breeze by the way, I can find why I should be allowed to jump into the conclusion that conspiracy novels are the bomb dot com. If you're the type who have these occasional search for "higher truth", you should easily understand what I mean. In a world where everything is power and money, although money can also be power so yeah conspiracy escapes are utterly refreshing.

I'm typing this blog post with a runny nose, a sore body, some sleepy eyes and a very sick version of me. Well, I'm not really very sick, but I am unwell right now. I have colds and I'm at work and I'm hoping I don't spread the virus; it just so happens that I have to be here today. Funny, because this blog post is something so timely because last Friday, The Generics Pharmacy through City Delivery, sent me this pack below.
PR photo
Yup, the very City Delivery that makes restaurant food delivery services available, now made buying your every generic drugstore needs just a click or call away. I know my mom has hesitation about using generic brands and I expect some of you to also have the same whims; but personally I think generic drugs are very helpful and pretty much the same. Sometimes, we do pay for the brand that's why drugs become expensive. What I know is, when certain drugs or vaccine's are discovered, of course the creator would acquire a patent for it; but patents expire and like in literature, once that copyright lapses, anyone can freely create copies of the product without infringement.

I remember everything so perfectly well. I was off to attend Cynthia Alexander's last gig for her send-off series. I was in a very panicky mode because I forgot my kikay kit. Then I remembered Etude House gave me this compact powder so I took it out and was too smitten with the packaging, I had to make sure I capture it's "unused" moment before I prettify. So I whipped out my iPhone and clicked along. Damn, I never thought a compact powder can be photogenic.

Since then I've been reaching out for this powder every chance I need to set my makeup or calm down an oily riot on my face. It has a very silky smooth and soft sponge that just lulls me to sleep. The shade is the right amount of nude--matte and perfect. So far, this powder is amazing in setting liquid or cream-based concealers too. Of course, Etude House made it easy for me to like this product because of the super cute packaging it came with. A ribbon clasp??? Come on. Who wouldn't be smitten? This compact also has SPF30.

What's your favorite powder?

I have a scar on my chin. I've never suffered a breakout before so I deal really bad with it. Right now, I'm treating it with spot treatment products and skin lightening creams with hopes that it would magically vanish. I fear that it would take forever or that it's an impossible goal; and my predicament makes me wish I knew better... so with that let me salvage what I can while I can and share with you all some guerilla tips on how to avoid ever having a breakout--thus a scar.

 1. Use clean tools. Whether you're using brushes, sponges or your fingers, make sure those applicators are clean. If you use dirty tools, you make washing your face pointless. You would just end up transferring dirt, oil and even bacteria to your supposedly clean skin m. Wash (your tools) at least once a week, and sanitize between use. Also, don't use other people's tools. The logic just follows! Other people can have contagious skin problems that you might acquire through borrowing tools, etc.

Like this post if you love simple things

Etude House nail polishes are the best thing. Using a Lucid Darling polish for my accent nail. I love how the silver glitter worked with my pastel pink Essence polish (on the rest of my fingers.) Etude House Jelly Pop top coat, as usual.

After a series of bright polishes, it's always great to rest and cleanse your world a little.

What do you use to "cleanse" your palette?

Having an escape makes the world of difference if you're suffering from a very busy grind. Be it a simple cup of tea or a grand change of scenery, having a place to go to makes a world of difference. Contrary to "assumed" belief, I don't spend most of my money on makeup. I get bankrupt because of books and food--which is just perfect because food nourishes my body while books feed my mind. I think, given the chance to choose between a Naked2 Palette and a boxed set George R.R. Martin Game of Thrones series, I'd take the book series. I want to have both but I want the book more.

So let me share with you my recent escape, dystopian societies. I've read and finished and have accepted the unbearable anticipation for the film adaptation of the second book The Hunger Games trilogy and loved it. This time around, I can't wait to share with you yet another dystopian trilogy that is full of young dysfunctional love story: Matched by Ally Condie. I already spoke about the first book here. Now let me get on with the second book, aptly entitled as Crossed.

Like this post if you love oranges

Branding aside, I wore a lot of orange back in college. I wasn't sunshine girl because of this blog. I am sunshine girl that's why there's this blog. First photo below is a photo of me and one of my cute sources for my college thesis. My thesis involved Disney Princesses, see... no surprise in that. Second photo was a very random giggly picture. It was on the day I got to try the Tomato Kick's Pesto Pasta Aligue, and oh my goodness, it was so fattening and delicious. Anyway, I remember because that was a memorable date moment--or my date was memorable. ♥

One of my favorite books and some sort of branding happening right there. #heartstuff

Turnback Tuesday is a new weekly section of my blog. I love remembering the good and even not-so-good times. Remembering the things that led me to the person that I am now is a form of appreciation that I want to celebrate with you. This is me. Let's get to know each other. Answer this week's featured question.

What's your favorite book?
