It's almost post-summer and that only means one thing to my vocabulary--another "spring" cleaning season. I love it when seasons change because it gives me proper momentum-slash-motivation to rearrange some things. I'm not a very messy person but I'm also not the most organized so every now and then, I need to exert extra effort to put things in order.

I am giving away a Campus BDJ for my readers who are still in school! I'm holding this giveaway because I'm forever grateful for the friendships and experiences I gained in school, especially college!

So it's that time of the year again when the Campus BDJ planners are out in the market. This year, I'm overly psyched because it comes in my favorite mix of colors: green, pink, yellow and blue! It can't get any better than that... or so I thought! Check out the photos below!

I pulverized my Guerlain Meteorites. In the make-up world, that could be equivalent to a crime! I know Meteorites is extra special because the multi-colored beads are amazing to look at but I kinda want to make it easier for me to pick up the "glow from within" effect of Meteorites so I pulverized it. It still works wonderfully as a highlighter!

Hello everyone, you know, as much as I like doing "impressive", sometimes I do have my share of FAIL moments! In fact, I did something very careless today... I accidentally deleted my original post on the DIY Coffee Scrub! My first ever DIY project (official) and I click on delete! What's wrong with my fingers???

Anyway, since it was well pinned and I know a lot of people are interested in trying their own Coffee Scrub, I decided to get over myself and repost. I'm sad to have lost the pins and the comments (so would appreciate if you pin and comment again!); but of course the main goal of this blog is to share and I will always keep that in mind. I'm sure you all would like to create your own 100% Natural Slimming, Calming and Nourishing Coffee Scrub so go ahead and enjoy reading after the jump! :)

Before I talk about Wawaza's 100% Pure Moisturizing Rice Bran Face Wash, let me share with you a trivial post I found from Wawaza's Facebook page.

Last February 4, they posted this picture on their FB page and they asked their followers to guess how old the woman is. Astoundingly enough, no one guessed right! Would you have guessed she's 85 years old?
Her name is Kimiko! Kimiko-san was born in 1927. That makes her 85 years old! She lives in Hinokage, Japan. She is a business owner, active in the local business council, takes hula dancing lessons, practices singing and participates in cultural events. She is the matriarch of the family, whom everybody loves and respects. To read Kimiko-san's story go to https://wawaza.com/blogs/lady-of-enchanting-smiles/ :) My name is Kumiko! :) I hope to visit Japan!

The other night I targeted one book a day so that by the end of the week, I would've chowed down three books. I failed on that because I didn't read a book yesterday. Unless I finish two books tonight (slightly impossible) I would fail my goal of the week.

The good thing though is my reason for not reading a book last night. I braided my hair.

Dutch Crown Braid: like it here.

Braid with no name: like it here.

My hair has gotten longer and it's quite fun to braid around with it. I share a few braid posts on my Facebook page and today I want to be thankful that I learned three new braids last night. I only have two pictures to share though. I learned how to do a knot braid, a three braid bun thing (I don't know the name( and a Dutch Crown braid--one I've always wanted to learn to do! What do you think?

It's my fourth day towards The Magic journey in which the main goal is to be more grateful about life so that more reasons to be grateful about life gravitates toward me. Because of that, this visualization practice, I feel inspired to take myself to a parallel universe where I'm in Boracay for three days and two nights--where I'm in a world of paradise with nothing but colorful clothes on my back and sweet-smelling personal care products from Snoe Beauty in my bag. Life is good no great.
A snowflake never looked this great against the summer sun!

Since I'm no stranger to Snoe, in fact I've been to at least two of their branches: Snoe Market Market where I did this haul, and Robinsons Dasmarinas where I bought stuff for my friend E; it's easier for me to imagine a Paradise vacation with Snoe Beauty. Everyone's got to have a dream vacation because having one gives purpose to each and every stressful day so when I saw this Snoe Suntervention contest on my feed today, I thought, why not send an entry, try to win and make sure I send out some positive vibes and inspirational thoughts along the way? Life is about being grateful anyway and I'm very thankful I got to try Snoe Beauty products; in fact, I can't even stop using their Oatmeal Bar Soap! View it on Snoe's website through this link.

Today's my third day of reading The Magic by Rhonda Byrne. The Magic is much-like The Purpose Driven Life as it is a day by day "activity book" to help you relive, rediscover and welcome back The Magic of life. Fans of The Secret and the whole positive thinking, the Universe conspires philosophy would deeply find a thoroughly spiritual reawakening with The Magic. I've only been through three days of it but since I am coming from such a dark place (heartbreak), the brightness is greater.

As promised, I will be giving away a copy of The Magic to you, my lovely readers. For this giveaway, I hope to inspire you to be thankful at least once a day. In fact, I would be rewarding you for being thankful at least once a day through an entry point! Do share with me the gratitude and like I have been experiencing, I hope you too would realize the power of realizing how blessed we all are, despite and in spite of life's ups and downs.

The Magic has always been yours. Claim it.

Special thanks to Fully Booked for sponsoring this giveaway.

Who doesn't feel a slight sense of guilt and pleasure when taking in this line: "No regrets, just love"? I think anyone who made a bold move and risked something important in their life for something or someone they love can relate to that line of Katy Perry's song. So, while I wallow in sadness (hehe kidding, I think I'm feeling better now), let me share with you a product that I pretty much regret buying. Please keep on reading because this post is more than a make-up review. If you're feeling a bit down and weary right now, I have something empowering to share over this make-up experience!

I can't remember how but I have heard of this Maroon 5 song She Will Be Loved way ahead it became popular in the Philippines. I even have a Xanga account back then where this song was on loop. I can't remember my old Xanga account. This song stuck though. It's such a powerful anthem for me. I heard the song before seeing the music video so I can't say I'm affected by the music video's storyline. I just love the song as the song itself. The words and the music is too comforting for me. I wasn't even 18 then, but I've already been telling myself, I will be loved.

Aah... such power music has over our emotions. Here's an eye-opening talk about Music. I welled up come 17:10. Wow. Never take advantage of every moment. "What really matters is what goes on every single day."

Ever wonder why the smell of freshly baked goodies reminds us of home (even if home isn't really a place of baked goodies)? Keeping tabs on a certain scent (or stench) has been proven very effective for me when it comes to remembering things, so I figured it's perfect timing to share with you the two I've been alternating the past few days: Gucci II (left) and Coach Poppy Flower (right).

There was a time when I felt like sad cause I couldn't listen to music anymore. I jumped to that conclusion because all the songs I end up listening to has an attached memory to it--that I want to forget. Then, I saw this YT video by Lindsey Stirling and bam. I found love. It's just so wonderful! Makes me feel alive! Listen to it (and watch the video because they made Kenya look like it's paradise. This world is really filled with so many little heavens.

It's like I have to sing this really low note... it's so low, I can't even let off a hint of a sound. It hurts so much.

Then to make matters worse, I find myself still hopeful, still willing. I know people around me are right, A was full of bullcrap, totally played me and undeserving for setting me aside as if I'm a pawn that has no place. I know I'm wrong for thinking I need to understand because that's just who I am. I needed to see things through for us; but then the abyss echoes off my sadness to the point that it grows louder as I try my best to overcome the confusion.

Hey everyone! I'm going to take a little break from all the break-up coping post and shed some light to whatever dark place I realized some of you are also going through. I think the magic about sharing oneself is in the way life (and the people whom you've intentionally and sometimes unintentionally shared yourself to reciprocates, and shares back. It's saddening for me to find out that some of you are also going through tough times right now and like I said in my Facebook gratitude status here, I wish I can, in my own way, help you get through as you help me stay strong.

"Rats!" Isn't that a not-so-typical exclamation when things are not going our way? "Rats! I forgot my wallet"; "Rats! This room is so dirty!"

As if rats are all to blame. Isn't it funny too how rats all of a sudden sound friendlier and clever when we call them mice? I still wouldn't want my house to be infested with them but if I were to choose between a rat and a mice, I'd choose the mice; even if they can pretty much be the same thing.

Relationships are a mixture of romance, commitment and a sense of privilege. That's what I believe in. Romance, because there has to be a source of magic, connection and emotion between two people. Commitment, because each party should be willing to work through the tide and not just the pleasantries. Sense of privilege, because the relationship should be given value and importance for it to deserve a fight.

Without romance, it's just a partnership. Without commitment, it's an experiment. Without meaning, it's an abuse.
