GIVEAWAY: Like a Baby

The change in season always brings out the worst in my skin. I don't know about you, but there's something a bit off and erratic about my skin when we go from Summer to Rainy season--sucks when you're in the Philippines because that's pretty much all the season you can get!

So during this time of year, I switch to products that are not for my age. Read more after the jump.

Source
Earlier this year, Nivea Baby Philippines generously sent me Baby products to try. At the time, I was unable to use the products because I was in the middle of testing out a few other products for review and I figured, I don't want to rush things. I know great timing is always essential.

Then came the break of summer and the dawn of Philippines' wet season and oh wow oh wow. My skin felt like it was flaking off... and my hair was one day dry, the next oily, the next falling and I don't know. I felt panicky, if you ask me; and that's when I decided it's time. It's time to switch to products made so ever-gentle, made to care for babies. :)

I started using Nivea Baby Lovingly Caring Oil* for my body. It is made hypo-allergenic and it is made with natural almond oil that soothes the skin as it moisturizes it. Ideally, you may use this to massage your bundle of joy but for people like me, who experiences episodes of extra-sensitive skin, you may use this as an all-over body oil. I have been using this product day in and out and I love how it is absorbed well (and fast). I also love how it helps lock in moisture even when the climate's humid.
Nivea Baby Lovingly Caring Oil is clinically tested to care and cleanse your baby's skin.

The great thing about switching to baby products is its very safe formulation. If you have sensitive skin, baby care might just be the thing for you. The Nivea Baby Lovingly Caring Oil is free of alcohol, colorants and preservatives. Personally, I love how the product is named Lovingly Caring Oil. As Ms. Loving Sunshine, you know I'm bound to be attached to a product coined as such. Continue reading to know just how attached I am... :)

Besides the Lovingly Caring Oil, I also started using the Nivea Baby Detangling and Conditioning Shampoo* because I got so panicky realizing my hair was falling off quite often and a lot since our season changed. Our hair is our crowning glory girls and nothing can get scarier than the risk of going bald! Comment if you agree!

So I switched to Nivea Baby's Detangling and Conditioning Shampoo because I'm aware that hair tangles increases the risk of hair breakage (like when you brush and pull on hair too hard just to untangle the knots). Using baby shampoo is not a new feat for me because I love switching to baby shampoo every now and then just to give my hair time to breathe or recharge from all the treatments and stressful ideas I succumb it to. Nivea Baby's Detangling and Conditioning Shampoo is also hypo-allergenic and it has a protection from tears formula so you're assure of its delicate formulation.
This baby shampoo is unique and special because it is made with natural silk proteins to help soften the hair as you go. Note that this is also very safe to use because it is free from harmful parabens, colorants, alcohol and soap!

Last but not the least is my favorite among the bunch of baby care products I switched to due to the weather: the Nivea Baby Nutri-Sensitive Milk Wash*. You should know by now that I'm a sucker for milk anything. Funny are those who know me but don't know how much I love anything cream or milk!? And yes, my love for dairy is extended to skincare.

I started using the Nivea Baby Nutri-sensitive Milk Wash as my daily body wash to help relax my skin and to also match my daily moisturizer's formulation. Amazingly, this product may be used as an all-over body wash (face, body and hair!) but because I don't want to use it all up too soon, I just use it for the body. I absolutely love how this wash smells like. I think cleansing with a baby wash is an effective way to make someone feel younger from morning to night! :)

The great difference using the Nivea Baby Milk Wash lies in how it helped ease any irritation outbreak on my skin. It is also quite nourishing, it doesn't end up with a squeaky clean finish.

Like I said, the change of weather causes an erratic sensitive episode for my hair and body--and I'm not sure if any of you also encounters the same; but just in case, I'd like to treat you with a small giveaway. :)

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Good luck!

Think bright. Smile a lot. :)

  20. Isn't it strange that even though it is humid the skin is still dry? This post gives me a better idea as to what you are dealing with. I will switch to a lighter lotion in the summers. We have humid summers but I still need to wear lotion my skin is still dry and my hair frizzes. Do you blow dry your hair? I have to spend more time blow drying in the summers and really iron out the frizz. Also, I find baby shampoo doesn't clean well enough. I sometimes shampoo twice.

  89. My favorite childhood memory is usually triggered by the scent of baby products. There seems to be a connection in smelling your favorite baby powder or baby shampoo that flood memories back into your head. Whenever I remember my childhood, it always goes back to those times during the summer when I can play with my friends and cousins as early as 6AM and we'd all retire for a siesta at my little Bahay Kubo in our backyard and play til our parents/yayas would come and get us to get ready for dinner (sometimes with a whip so we'd all go home!). As I would get cleaned up with various baby products, the smell would stay until I fall asleep in the evening and wake up still smelling fresh like a baby.
