Previously I shared how I'm mad about lashes. Now, I'll share with you what I've been playing with as love birds suddenly appear all month long. :)

Lash lovers such as I generally want the following: thick curls and long lashes. Luckily, this month of February, I discovered two wonderful products that perfectly and consistently delivers the results I need.

For thick curls:

When one thinks of summer, it's not possible to exclude the beach from one's imaginings. However, I'm not sure if this would apply to all, but I think when one thinks of the beach, it's also difficult to not think of a henna tattoo!

Here's a treat for henna lovers. It's the type of henna you can actually wear and flaunt every day at work or even at school! It's prettifying and is definitely worth-the-proof, Proof 10 Henna Fix mascara by Etude House (kidding aside, I meant to say waterproof. :p)

The pros about this mascara is it's formulation. As the name suggests, it has henna as one of its components and with that you can only expect the blackest of black for your lashes for every application. I really like it because having super black lashes makes an illusion of having thick lashes = meaning, lashes look volumized sans thick wax coats for your lash strands! Volumizing mascara usually derives its volumizing capability from coating lash strands with mascara; however, that results to a rather "heavy" coverage for your pretty lashes and you know, truth is, every girl needs a break from all that load!

For those who don't want to sacrifice "thick lashes" just to have that "break", Henna Fix mascara will save you from your woes. I really love it and I use it especially when I prefer skipping eyeliner. The "thickness" of my lashes makes up for it anyway!

Etude House Henna Fix Proof 10 Mascara
Etude House Henna Fix Proof 10 Mascara comes in a delightful hot pink tube which is a plus! With such pretty packaging for all their products (notice even the box for their mascara came with such a funky vibe, right?), one can't help but feel like a princess! I love Etude House! Etude House is definitely one of those extremely addictive (in a good way) finds. They are coming up with new branches this year, which is great! So far my favorite branch is the one at Festival Mall because it's relatively bigger than their other branches; however, SM Megamall branch is the most accessible for me though. :)
Check out Henna Fix mascara wand. It is responsible for delivering those thick blackest of black lashes every time! :)
For long lashes:

If you're a friend on Facebook (if not yet, pls add me now), then you know that Long Lashes made us excited+busy+frantic+giddy thanks to Maybelline New York's Long Extreme Stiletto Mascara. I did a giveaway featuring the product (Thanks Maybelline!) and the announcement of winners are below. But before that, let me tell you what made this product worthy of it's name. (I have an ongoing giveaway until Feb. 28, click here.)

Known to be the no.1 lash lengthening mascara in the US, since Stiletto mascara arrived Philippine shores, I've heard rave after rave about it. I guess it was only natural that http://www.lovingsunshine.com/ takes a dip into it right? No regrets, may I point it out! If you want sleek, if you want sexy, the Stilleto Mascara should be part of your kikay kit!

The tube looks very unique, especially compared to other trademark Mascaras from Maybelline New York like: Great Lash, Cat's Eye, Magnum, etc. It has a "manly" appeal, if you ask me. Compared to other mascaras (not just Maybelline's) Lash Stiletto stands out because of it's harsh yet bold solid shape. . . and what does it try to "copy" with it's shape, well you guessed it right! Your Stiletto heels!

I think what Maybelline did with Lash Stiletto is very empowering, not only as a cosmetic product (since it does perform its lengthening duties so well) but also as a symbol for the strong independent and modern woman. They're having a Stiletto run, the first in the Philippines, and I think it's such an exciting project that many would find most enjoyable to participate in. I suggest you like Maybelline Philippines Facebook fan page to know more about the Stiletto Run!

Stiletto Mascara leaves a very light yet extremely lash defining and lengthening coverage which I can recommend for make-up lovers especially as the hot summer season slowly knocks in our every day grind.

For extremely long lashes, Maybelline Long Extreme Stiletto Mascara.
Of course, the winners, please click on the photo here for better viewing. :) Congratulations to all of you!

To me there are two kinds of kikay, and it is divided by a very distinct line: the make-up lover and the fragrance fanatic. Quite interestingly, I'm the former, my mom's the latter.

I came up with that "theory" when I also decided to distinguish the types of a fashionista: the bag maniac, shoe crazy, clothes horse and the accessory hoarder. None of my distinctions are backed-up by years of research but these "categories" make it easier for me to determine what kind of a shopper I'm behaving like, given a particular period of time.

As of writing, I'm looking forward to Bvlgari's Spring Release of their seasoned and ever-so-delightful Jewel Charms.

I think it's more thand just charming. Definitely, it's more than just a charm.

Each charm represents Bvlgari fragrances favorites.

I think it's heaven-"scent" especially for those who find it most difficult to come up with gift ideas. Surely, there's a charm for everybody! And for those who love completing a collection, I'm sure Bvlgari Jewel Charms would satisfy your thrill-seeking spirit.

My personal favorite is Bvlgari's Omnia Amethyste. This scent is unforgettable. If you want to let someone realize how you find her "unforgettable", Omnia Amethyste will definitely break grounds for you.

OMNIA AMETHYSTE EDT Charm (25ml)
With that said, I wonder who'd be receiving Omnia Amethyste Charms this March.

Bvlgari Jewel Charms will be available in the Philippines come March 2011. Excited?

Today I had my card read, well sort of. I got the Empress Card. :)

The last time someone read my cards, it was this complete stranger guy who used the "rule of thirds" to get to me and tell me that when he saw he, he felt in his psychic system that his cards, wanted to read me. Clearly, I was like, yeah right. But since I really didn't have anything to lose, and it was a good friend of mine whom he used to reach me, I'm like, OK!

We were at the lobby of this completely dilapidated dormitory and he laid out my cards.

I CRIED MY BALLS OUT!! Not that I completely believe or doubt tarot card reading, but boy was it a fascinating experience. I suggest you to try it at least once. Have fun!

S.P. Lovecraft: "Kumi: Ohayo, fellow Libra! I got the Empress for you. This must be pretty much in line with what you're currently doing: helping making the world a prettier, happier place to live in! Love what you do all the more & believe in yourself! Other ladies will definitely pick up that vibe from you to better themselves! Oh, & I hope your mom's alright! Thanks for dropping by! ♥"

Thank you S.P. Lovecraft! :)

Sexing the Cherry is by far the most intriguing book titles I've ever encountered. It's such a vivid tease, don't you think? When you read "Sexing the Cherry", what wild things come to mind?

Of course the novel did not disappoint. I feel that Sexing the Cherry defines where pain and beauty meet. You know what they say about looking past suffering to find something more powerful than pain? I think Sexing the Cherry is born out of that.

As always, here are some interesting book covers for Sexing the Cherry. If there's something I would like to do, it is to complete a collection of Jeanette Winterson books. I find her writing so compelling, so strong and thought-provoking; yes that's true, but more than her writing, all her cover arts are as compelling, strong and thought-provoking too.

Reading Sexing the Cherry naturally made me feel so sensual. I would recommend cushioning your heart with sensual soulful music as you flip through her pages.

Listen to Slow Train's music... did you know they have a song titled "Sexing the Cherry" too? Here it is. It shook me to the core.

Here's another great music to listen to:

Time to hold someone dear close, real close.

I joined the Piolo Pascual date @ Boracay promo at HBC yesterday. I figured, since I posted about it on my giveaway here (Do join! No purchase required for MY giveaway.) I should probably check it out for myself.

I overdid it! haha I only needed to purchase Php200 worth of products to claim a ticket but I went home with Php600 worth of loot. Yeah, would you believe all that is just 600-sumthin'?! It's so fun!

Bought an eye cream. It has SPF15 and cucumber extract which is great in soothing those tired eyes. Also, I am fond of using eye creams because I am prone to fine lines around the eye area... I smile a lot eh. :)

Body Recipe eye cream is just Php115.

If you know how much I'm fond of lipsticks then you won't be surprised that there's a lipstick in last night's haul. Above is a swatch of San San Shimmer Lipstick shade 05... and crazy, it's just Php78! The only available shade was 05 :( I have no idea what the other shades are. I really like this line. I hope I get to try Shades 01, 02, 03, 04..

See, it's such a wonderful shade. I have been looking for a dewy orange lipstick for ages and this particular item almost made the cut. I love how it looks on the lips. I don't have a proper photo to share with you the lipstick swatched on my lips, will work on that, but anyway, I love the shade of this lipstick a lot....

Oh wait, you know I am raving when I'm redundant na! I kept on saying I love the shade of this lipstick! haha

What I don't like about it is it doesn't have that much of a staying power. But I have no problem with re-applying! :)

Like in any other lipstick, it also doesn't look good on "chappy" lips so yeah, I have to drink my h2o especially since it's starting to get really hot na.

Obviously I love this lipstick... I took and uploaded so many photos of it!

Another reason why I love this lipstick is it's packaging. Compared to the Age Defense line (the ones in translucent blue case), the shimmer lipstick's packaging is thicker, sturdier and the cap locks pretty well... so no worries that your lipstick wold smudge all over your kikay kit.

Well, that's not San San obviously, but you've heard me talk and rave about this product too! Introducing my favorite eyeshadow palette. I realized I have been referring to it as in shade Cantalily? haha So wrong so I took a photo of it. It's Lola Eyes Chantilly :) It's the most amazing palette ever and I'm really sad that as you can see, it's almost out.

Lola Cosmetics is available in select Marionaudd, SM department stores and Watsons branches.

I shared a shot of my favorite Lola Eyes palette because TADAAAA Oh was I giddy like a kiddie when I saw San San's Age Defense Eyeshadow trio 01. The shades are not exactly the same and it isn't in powder shimmer form, but, it's very very close. I love it!

They're twins! :) Left palette is the SAVE option as it is definitely less than Php150; while Right palette is the SPLURGE option as that small trio is over Php1k, if I can remember it well. :)

Other than the palette, I also purchased San San's gel eyeliner in Black. I am actually wearing it now and it's really nice. Zero smudging. Steady :)

It comes with a brush applicator so for those who are trying out gel eyeliners for the first time (say aye!), you don't have to worry about having nothing to apply it with.

It also available in Brown... hm, should I try the brown too?

Speaking of brown, I LOVE San San's eyebrow pencil in shade 03 A LOT. Crazy love it a lot. I even choose it over the Christian Dior eyebrow pencil haha! Because of that, I thought I should try it's lighter shade too... especially since I really want to have lighter locks. In the photo is shade 02. It's not bad but it's not the right brown for me, yet. The darker brown of shade 03 matches my skin tone and hair color still.

I also bought San San Make-up Remover pulls so I can tidy up my make-up, kikay kit and be more hygienic in using brushes, lip wands and mascara wands. I know it's a waste to have a dedicated product to clean up make-up but I am also sure that it's more of a waste to let your cosmetics waste away with bacteria!
Just sharing. :) Hope everyone's having a great weekend. I am off to Fully Booked The Fort tom to pick-up books on hold for me.

I'm on my breakout season. Damn, it's starting to get really hot lately. I'm so excited to share my new-found summer-friendly skin care line... soon.

Hot summer days make me feel like cutting my hair really short again. Hm.

But there's just something so feminine about having long hair. Long haired morenas... yum.

Speaking of yum, I've been really hooked with my Passionfruit Hydrating lipstick in Sweet Nectar. It's on promo price right now. Instead of Php245, it's just Php195. It's Human Heart Nature's introductory promo for their new line of lippies. If you want one (or the set) for yourself, you may email me. Sweet Nectar is second to the left. Actually it is (from L-R) Pink Skies, Sweet Nectar, Coral Kiss and Earth Angel, respectively.

Who else thinks the names are so dear? Say aye!

Cosmetic lovers can find healthy alternatives in Human Heart Nature's Love Minerals line. Mineral Make-up is all the rave in the make-up industry now and I think these reasons stated above make all the hype justifiable.

However, no matter how wonderful Mineral Make-up is, I just can't seem to let go of my regular cosmetics. For example, above is a photo of one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes. It's from Guerlain. It has the right shades of gold, bronze and greens perfect for making my Filipina skin look bright and festive.

Check out the applicators that come with it. They're not your ordinary sponge applicators as the handles are quite exquisite.

Other than eyeshadows, I can't let go of my love for Stila lip gloss as well. Actually, it's more of a love-hate relationship for me. I love how colorful, easy-to-apply and sweet-smelling these glosses are (especially the Apricot variand, which is almost completely used up now... oh no.); however, I don't like how these glosses are too thick and sticky (not Philippine-climate friendly) and I also don't like how these glosses make my lips "chap", in a weird way.

I mean, it's not dry chapping, but after a while, I can REALLY exfoliate the top layer of my lips whenever I use Stila lip glaze. It's not painful or whatever, but it is weird because it is serious exfoliation... although, like I said, it's a love-hate thing because although I'm not happy that such an "effect" happens whenever I use Stila lip glaze, after "exfoliating" or wiping off that top layer of gloss + skin, my lips look so fine and healthy!

But of course, like I said, Mineral-based cosmetics are all the hype now. Among many, I love Bare Escentuals because they are the perfect combination of "healthy make-up" and regular make-up qualities. Above is my collection of Buxom Babes lip plumping glosses and lip plumping crayons. What do you think of the colors? :)

If you followed my FB posts yesterday, you probably noticed the number of times I said I was happy, hehe. :)

I love the subtle fruity notes it leaves on my lips.

I tried my best to really capture both the shine on my face and the longevity of Benefit Cosmetics Stay Don't Stray. I felt it was very important to be able to show and contrast the shine and the product's performance in one shot so I may best illustrate to you how my face gets very very oily and yet there's no sign of smudging or horrid creasing on my eyes. I really am hands down on Benefit Cosmetics Stay Don't Stray Primer.

(Note: I am using Etude House Proof 10 Henna Mix Mascara. What do you think of it?

Close-up of my lids around 6PM, nine hours after I applied my make-up. After a long day at work, check out how the primer helped my make-up hold on to my lids.

This product is really great. Frankly, I am undergoing this "post-partum" depression phase since I no longer have Benefit Cosmetics Stay Don't Stray for use... hay...

How I wish I can turn back time (make-up wise) and magically refill all my cosmetics--and skin care!

Anyway, lately, I've been feeling kind of creative. I don't really know why. I kept on asking: "Can I paint on this? (while holding any random object like a basket, a tissue holder, a remote)"

Speaking of turn back time, here's the before photo of my eyes... a shot taken right after I used the last of my Stay Don't Stray primer. Pls visit this link for some eye-brightening make-up tips!
I'm so sleepy. I need to sleep early tonight because I plan to wake up around 3AM tom. Please "the Secret" for the best of that plan.
