EVENT: Pulse Saturdays Kings on Deck Mixtape V.2 Launch plus Dada Footwear unveiled

I have been battling it out with technology the past few days. First, I experience problems with my photohost, next my videos from the Dada footwear launch at Urban Athletics got corrupted?! Oh come on! I was so excited to share with you these four performances, and trust me, the performances were pretty cool. So p'ssd I can't upload them... but I can still view them on my camera... is there hope?

Anyway, here are some photos I got to save from the event.

Beats were pretty intense at the Urban Athletics Greenbelt branch. It's not often you get to visit a concept store and see overflowing booze and rhythm from corner to corner. Urban Athletics, the country’s leading premium street lifestyle retailer in Greenbelt 3, grandly held its second PULSE SATURDAYS with a Kings on Deck Mixtape Launch plus more. It recently unveiled its newest members, Dada footwear and Philippine Street Plan (PSP) X UA Collab Shirt.

The Mixtape featured hot artists in the urban scene like DJ Nix Damn P. of YenTown Kid Co. and MC Ron Thug of Wika Records. Fresh and talented hip-hop artists such Pow Chavez, Ron Henley and BNK (Blaze and Kane) performed in the event. To amp up the energy more, Unschooled, fresh from their bronze medal win in the World Supremacy Battlegrounds in Austalia burned the dance floor. I have two copies, and whoever wants to get my extra can simply ask :p

"Dada is the hottest urban basketball brand in Europe that produces clothing and apparel for the hip-hop community. Dada began as a hat and T-shirt company in 1995, which was aimed to target the urban basketball youth."  I've enver heard of the brand before (IKR) but it's pretty cool. I didn't see any girl shoes there but I really liked the energy the brand evokes. Check out its website here, they've got pink stuff and I'm hoping UA will carry them soon! I love JP products.

I like the logo a LOT.

So why bring Dada footwear to the Philippines? Well, with our basketball fixation, I don't see why not. I mean, finally right?

"We are excited and proud that Dada is finally hitting the Philippines. I know that a lot of Dada fans are thrilled to expect popular Dada lines,” said Marc Vinas, Dada Brand Manager. “The Dada urban and athletic line is sold in major athletic retailers worldwide and has been endorsed by athletes including NBA players Latrell Sprewell, Chris Webber, Karl Malone and Horace Grant. Entertainers from Snoop Dogg, Ludracris and even Leonardo Di Caprio have also endorsed the product. Watch out for Dada as it hits stores this December” added Vinas.

"Urban Athletics continues to be the trend-setter when it comes to urban sports fashion and street wear. With the arrival of Dada footwear, our market can expect the freshest drops from this very popular brand. It will definitely excite the members of the hip-hop community but the urban fashionistas as well," said Toby P. Claudio, founder of Urban Athletics.

This crowded entrance was just the beginning. The store was packed!

Here's why. You get to play NBA on PS3! I was so tempted to join but I know I would lose, and I noticed how when one sits to play, people pack up around you to watch! Pulse Saturdays perked up the night with free flowing beer, NBA 2k12 competition and celebrity Beer Pong. Exciting raffles from brands such as NIKE, Wip Caps, adidas, Dada Footwear, and more were given away.

As for me, I hate to admit this, but I've never own a pair of sneakers in my life HAHA I just don't know how to really wear it. I grew up not seeing these pretty cool sneakers that are now available. And check out the sneaker wall, how do you ignore those sale signs? :) I scored some GC's from the event, perhaps it's a welcoming sign. :) I'm gonna be back at Urban Athletics, for sure.
