Train Man is so irresistible, you'd find yourself wanting more come the last page.

I LOVE GEEKS. When I saw Train Man (cover page), I was already attracted. When I read the synopsis at the back, I just knew I found yet another book I wouldn't mind spending any other borrowed time on.

Have you ever been in love? I ask that because I want you to bring yourself to that place, that moment, when you have no idea whether you're feeling "love" or if you're ready for "love" and most importantly if s/he (your love interest) feels the same way. I'm sure many of you would agree that the most exciting part of a relationship is the part where it's all vague, it's just developing and you guys are just testing the waters, guessing and reading the signs--hoping the signs reveal favorable news. Train Man... is all that. :)

If the mere mention of love made your heart flutter and the little gears in your head clueless whether to start, continue or stop turning, then I suggest you go grab a copy, find a corner, and giggle your way through the pages. :)

Geek saves girl. Girl sends Geek a pair of Hermes teacups. The Geeks prepare for the fight for love.
Train Man is about a geek who saved this beautiful girl--and in a certain way, how the then damsel in distress, saves a geek from staying in his shell foreverrrr. It's such a cute read! The book requires a certain attention since it's not your typical novel. It actually looks like a whole online forum thread that is published as a book; but the adoring-slash-nerdy graphics and jokes are far too amusing--I don't think it's possible to fall asleep while reading Train Man!

Train Man is quite an informative read too! Perfect for all you torpes out there.
Best Advice from the book:
The best time to say it is when you feel like you want to and can actually say it. (p 180)

Here are some quotations and funny lines I bookmarked with my blue post-strips:
  • I'm overwhelmed by my own lameness... (ain't Train Man adorable?)
  • You are the cutest of cute. (that's imaginary Train Man's flirty words. Ah, you have to read the thread novel to understand)
  • What I remember are her words. She said, "With you I feel protected on the train." The moment she said this, I felt my heart skip a beat. (maybe you find this cheesy or "typical" but I assure you, read the thread novel and you'd understand why I bookmarked this part)
More geeky humor for you to find out for yourselves. I do not wish to spoil such a FUN thread story.

I would definitely recommend Train Man to all you readers who can't get over young love. Train Man is a classic finding yourself story mixed with a very witty youthful AND geeky romantic comedy vibe.

Train Man (Php 560) is available at Fully Booked. For inquiries, visit their website here.

Book to Basics #10 Train Man by Hitori Nakano

Train Man is so irresistible, you'd find yourself wanting more come the last page. I LOVE GEEKS. When I saw Train Man (cover page), ...
Oh the stars
they're not in heaven
I saw them
walking down the street, smiling, holding hand-in-hand
with some maiden.
It broke my heart.

I was wasting seven nights, looking up
I was waiting
I was looking for a spark
I was looking in the dark
all for nothing...

Oh the stars
they're mean like dragons
They keep you quiet and obedient, afraid of fire, resilient
then they bite you.
No they take your heart away,
they live forever.

A thousand years
Of heavy fears
thinking makes me want to scream!
Like the thunder in the storm
I saw the signs but waited some more
I was heartbroken,
for being stupid

Silly me.

Oh the stars
they're not from heaven.

Again, at the back of my mind, there's a musical score for this.

Oh the stars they're not in heaven I saw them walking down the street, smiling, holding hand-in-hand with some maiden. It broke my ...

Always start with a clean face. :)

I am using Maybelline Hyper Diamonds Black/Gray Palette.
E.L.F. Black Liquid Eyeliner.
Daily Falsies (Japanese Brand, I can't type it out haha)

After achieving the perfect Smokey Eye, line your eyes with liquid eyeliner, wing a little at the corner of your eye to add an extra flirty oomph.
Use false lashes! They look great with Smokey Eyes. I'm using a subtle falsies. It's for daily use. You can opt to use thicker, longer lashes if you want. They come in varying designs. Special events, parties or photo shoots are great reasons to exaggerate with the falsies. :)

I CAN'T SLEEP. IT WAS 2 AM WHEN I STARTED PLAYING WITH MAKE-UP, THOUGHT OF DOING SOME BEAUTIFUL MESS WITH MY MAYBELLINE HYPER DIAMONDS PALETTE. WOW. IT'S NOW QUARTER TO THREE AND I CAN'T SLEEP! WHY? BECAUSE I LOOK SO CUTE IN MY MAKE-UP haha

Anyway, as promised, here's a night time Superstar look for you every day celebrities. :) (For the day time look, go here.)

To those who are already friends with me on Facebook, you know by now that I changed my profile picture to the photo shown below. That's a more wicked "bad-girl" use of Maybelline Hyper Diamonds. For tonight, especially because it's kinda hard to do make-up (using shades of black!) at night time, I did something else.

That's my sexy stare, haha joke!

For the photos, I apologize I had to edit a little, especially with the "curves" or should I say brightness of the pictures because as I've said, it's so late and it's dark in my room. I even had to go to the bathroom to take pics! haha I hope you like the look!

I haven't fixed my brows yet, I know! So tagal na... but kasi I don't have enough hair for reshaping yet! Sorry!

I used Blinc liquid eyeliner for my eyes tonight. :)

Check out how great the color you get from Maybelline Hyper Diamonds. It's not  obvious on the photo, but there are lotsa sparkles on my eyes too!
To perfectly shape your eyes with smokey shadow, follow your lower lash-line. That'll guide you to the direction of your side shadow-sweep.
Again, follow your lower lash-line and side-sweeeeep to its direction.  :)
Some people like their eyebags to completely be concealed... I don't. In a way, they add depth to my eyes. Plus... since I have bad sleeping habits, hiding eyebags is a very difficult task.
Weird look on my face, but what do you think? Not bad for a 2AM make-up right?
Now for some smiling pictures--hah--I have a lot cause I feel like I look so cute with my smokey eyes! :)

To those who are wondering, my hair looks sticky because I have leave on hair treatment by Giga Ventures :)

Eye make-up <3

Love my curls!

Five stars !!! Awesome palette. Captivating eyes, check!
So great, now I have to clean up. Lotsa make-up brushes on my bed!

Need to clean up the face too! Need sleep. Good night! Comments please!

At the end of the day, it's you I want to go home to, too.

-K-

You made sense of everything.

Kiss the Rain by Billy Mayers

At the end of the day, it's you I want to go home to, too. -K- You made sense of everything.
Forgive the emotions... earlier today I finished reading The Ice Man by Haruki Murakami. It's a short story from his Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman book. It's not the book's first story but of course, being deviant, I skipped right to The Ice Man and read it first. So yeah, again, I apologize for the emotions. I blame the story. It melted down whatever's left of my "ice cold exterior".

Our Lady of Lourdes
There was a halogen light pointing straight at us, haha.

I came from Tagaytay today with my family. Went to church since it is my brother's birthday today (and was my birthday few days ago). Happy birthday to us. I used to always love going to Tagaytay but apparently, I don't anymore. Not that it doesn't please me, I guess it really is like this. Just like what Katy Perry says, "Comparisons are easily done once you've had a taste of perfection. Like an apple hanging from a tree, I picked the ripest one, I still got the seed." That's how I see Tagaytay now, having gone from Sagada few months ago. But oh, there was a rainbow today! And it was actually my first time to see a Full Rainbow. It was so pretty. Check out the photo I took.

I did minor photo manipulation to emphasize the beautiful rainbow.

Anyway, probably it's the coffee (I had Starbucks Creme Brulee Macchiato, warm) but the ride home was pretty emotional. I found myself thinking of someone... it was so moving. I had to catch up to redeem myself.

To add insult to injury, I got home to Regina Spektor's The Call playing. My tito was watching Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian movie. It was already the last scene I believe. The Call was playing. It reminded me of so many things--and mind you, I'm a very forgetful person, but with the song, it all came back to me. The memory of her called me.

It was like getting sucked into a vortex. Blogging about it, fyi, is my way of putting myself back together. The vortex detour misplaced so many little parts of me.

(Check out the wonderful The Call cover by Kinna Grannis below--I love the cute drawing shown at the beginning of the video! Check out her Youtube channel, okay? She's awesome! Plus, so weird. She reminds me of... me! haha Team kulot! Maybe I should learn to play the guitar and make Youtube videos too!)

Sometimes I remember her and I get carried away with my thoughts. Sometimes I imagine myself in a different life, living in the familiar past but making very different decisions. I always return to a particular afternoon which a huge part of me considers as a "could've led to a life-changing evening". The memory of her has this really strong pull. It's like my emotions are the little droplets of water that forms the ocean; while she is the moon. I get wave after wave of flashbacks and wishful thinking until I end up on shore, castaway without anyone to spell S.O.S. to.
I remember, I called you right before my favorite scene of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind started. Er, okay, I did put it on pause so I can call you and ask you to "watch with me". Damn, I can't even remember if that really happened or if it's just something I wished I did.
I remember you told me you have the most beautiful view of the moon from your room's veranda. I teased you about having your own terrace. We forgot about the moon that night.
I remember you walked slow when we walk together. Or was it I walked slow when we walk together? I'm not so sure... all I remember is us walking together. We used to walk together.
I remember your hands were so cold. You held my leg, you thought I'd be surprised. I looked at you with disdain, like, "who the hell is this person trying to surprise me?!" I remember seeing your face, that "I've got a plan face". I laughed so hard not because you were so funny thinking you could startle me like that. I laughed so hard because I was so happy. You acted like a kid, around me. That was so rare. In fact, as far as I can remember, it happened only once.
I remember you were telling me about your likes and dislikes. We were talking. I was pretending I was listening. Half of the time I had no idea about the things you like, or dislike. It made me feel so stupid and naive. Half of the time, I was just so mesmerized by you.
I remember you told me I looked beautiful. One time, we were having coffee, I was talking to you; I can't remember what I was talking about because word after word I get more nervous. The attention you were giving me was so sincere--not to mention intense. I can still remember how you were looking deep into my eyes to the point that I think I didn't even have to say a word to reveal my soul. You had this smile, I think you noticed I put too much glitter on my lids that day. You were staring at me. You were smiling. I think you knew how you were making me nervous. Then you told me I was beautiful.
I feel... I feel like I miss her. I feel like I need to see her smile again. They say it's a small world but how could it be? The sky is so big... not a single star tonight.

-K-

Pick a star and follow the light. Please comment about my quoted text. Which "I remember" story did you like the most?

"No need to say goodbye." The Call, Regina Spektor

Forgive the emotions... earlier today I finished reading The Ice Man by Haruki Murakami. It's a short story from his Blind Willow, Sleep...
First, let me reveal that of all Rock Bands I love AC|DC the most. Whenever I have to reformat my computer/iPod/any gadget used for music I re-Rip my tito's AC|DC albums. I'm thankful he collects all original Rock albums, that I can always refer to for REAL ROCK MUSIC.

Anyway, when I saw Daniel Levitin's This is Your Brain: the science of a human obsession there was a strong shot of impulse that went straight to the decisive corners of my brain. I just had to know... I had to understand this obsession. Fortunately, oh it made me so happy, AC|DC was mentioned in the book. This particular song even:

If you too, are a music lover, you should read the book to gain a better understanding of your so-called obsession. The book is like a groupie's forbidden apple. The knowledge won't hurt but it opens up a whole new way of looking at things.

Read up if you want to know why your favorite song is your favorite.
I recommend this book to the curious and of course to the scientific gleeks who want to gain a deeper understanding behind their passion. Know the true meaning of "groove". Separate the musician from the music--the music from the musician. There's more to music... it's like a completely unchartered forest. It's wild, refreshing and filled with natural wonders.

After reading the book, you'd understand why THIS SONG is my favorite AC|DC song. (listening to it now, I feel so... read the book to find out)

I say cheers to foot-tapping music!

Sometimes I'm fascinated by the littlest things... it's been b-z months for me and for this weblog. I'm not complaining, I'm very thankful actually, but I'm taking this moment to just you know, take it all in.

From my favorite boy, who demands an iPod from me >_< He's using the notebook I gave him from way back. <3 <3

I got to talk to my tita a while ago, so happy. It's three days since my birthday yet it's still my birthday. In fact, yesterday I got another surprise gift from my mom (thank you Ma!). I already set aside half of it--off to the bank you go--the other half, budget for The Bike. I'm not sure how much I should allot for my The Bike budget but I don't want to be too extravagant because I believe I shouldn't spoil myself with such things.

"I wish I'm your favorite skirt." Check out Post-Script for the make-up details.

A year ago, I remember I used to always write on my notebook... "I wish I'm your favorite skirt." I feel like sometimes I wish for particular people to like me, etc. Sometimes, I make it all up. It's like I eat a swirl of real and expectations for dessert. I enjoy it. Some people think I'm weird, and crazy! I don't really mind. I have these moods, they're absolutely undefineable, and sometimes I still do get lost in them, but they make me, ME! I am pretty comfortable with myself, despite my crazy little antics, my crazy little thoughts, and my many other crazy little things...

So I really like it when I feel calm. Like right now, I feel calm. It's nice. Just me, my many selves, and real good music.

I found this cutesy YouTube Channel, visit it here. It's adorable. The name itself is adorable! MusicANDmuffins! Cute! They have like really cute Karaoke-ish YouTube Videos! I feel like giggling! I fee like giggling and throwing popcorns at someone. I feel mischievous! I feel like leaning my head on someone's shoulder, smiling.

Nobody, and I mean nobody, will ever ride along my current. Either s/he would get thrown off OR I would eventually push him/her away. That's me. That's who I am. I push and pull and hug and kick people out...

and with that, I get these moments when I feel calm: thinking that I did the right things; thinking that things will turn out all right.
I feel so nice. I hope everyone's feeling nice too.

Check out 1:52... then the great thing 1:57 will show, below.
