In my head there's a background score for this

What if I tell you
"yeah, I do miss you"
what are you gon' do about it?
When we ended like
nothing ever really started
Tell me what is on your mind.

Comfortable
like ice cream rolls
melting at the palm of my hands.
Believable
like stars that glow
against the tide of time...
You and I
We're bad living sep'rate lives.

  1. Dear Kumiko

I can relate to this very well. Its beautifully poignant and sad.. I think you have achieved with this what you wanted to convey.. the frustration of being apart...

Although I don't think you were talking about long distance love, the last two lines of your poem reminded me of my situation. I'm in a long distance relationship, and my fiancé and I have said the same thing to each other, although worded differently. I love it when I get to read something I can relate to. Thanks!
